Gamal Abdel Nasser said it plainly.
The Israelis “speak about the Nazi treatment and how they were badly treated in Germany… they treated Arabs the same way, and they expelled them, killed them, killed their children, destroyed their villages.”
He was there in 1948. He watched villages emptied, families driven out, children killed, homes erased. Then the world was told to remember only one catastrophe and forget the other.
Nasser’s point was not complicated: you cannot claim exclusive victimhood while repeating the same methods of expulsion and destruction against another people. The Palestinian refugees did not vanish. Their villages were not imaginary. Their right of return was not a slogan invented yesterday.
Palestine was not empty land waiting for a new owner. It was a people with homes, fields, and children. Those who were driven out still exist. Their demand is not hatred. It is return, recognition, and an end to the idea that one people’s suffering erases another’s.
From the river to the sea, the land had a people. They were not erased. They were not forgotten. They are still here.

A 9-year-old Armenian Christian boy, William, was riding his bike in Jerusalem on Yom Kippur when a group of young men stopped him, heard him speak English, and pepper-sprayed him in the face. He needed an ambulance. His mother says he now can’t sleep. Police closed the case. Attacking a child is indefensible. Charge the people who did it.

The Nazis hid their worst crimes in the fog of war. They used coded language, secret speeches, and the chaos of a world war to conceal what they were doing. Even they understood some things could not be done in the open.
Israel has done the opposite. The starvation, the flattening of neighbourhoods, the mass displacement of a population that is half children — all of it has happened in daylight, on camera, with officials speaking plainly about making Gaza uninhabitable.

Israeli politicians paused their usual cage match last week just long enough to scream “treason” at two of their own filmmakers for documenting how the IDF’s AI targeting system treats Palestinian families as an acceptable rounding error. Then they went right back to stabbing each other over who gets to run the next government.
That’s the story. Not “debate.” Not “soul-searching.” A brief, bipartisan hissy fit because someone filmed the machinery instead of the press release.
NAZA isn’t a conspiracy theory. It’s Israeli officers describing the product: pick a junior target, authorise 20 civilian deaths, sometimes 500, bomb the house at night because “daddy’s home,” shrug at a 15% error rate, call the dead kids collateral, and go back to Tel Aviv. The word itself is the tell. They already had an acronym for how many people they expected to kill.
The official response? Strip the directors of citizenship. Threaten lawsuits. Send activists to their parents’ houses. Accuse them of helping Hamas. Because nothing says “the most moral army in the world” like panicking when your own soldiers describe the spreadsheet.
And now, with a month until the election, they’re fighting again over who gets to inherit this. Some of them want to look slightly less radioactive for international cameras. The far-right already has the ministries, the settlers, the “voluntary emigration” talking points, and the habit of treating any criticism as blood libel. The question isn’t whether the next coalition will be more extreme. It’s whether anyone still pretends the last one wasn’t already the product.
They united to protect the system. They divided over who gets to keep running it. Palestinians don’t get a vote in that argument. They just keep showing up in the NAZA column.
The far-right didn’t need to “win.” It already wrote the targeting rules. The rest is branding.
