Well team - this is it. After 8 years, my time at VeChain has come to an end. Hard to compress that much history into a post. I joined when the industry was still trying to explain why blockchain mattered at all, and I was thoroughly excited to be part of telling that story to the world. VeChain expanded from infrastructure and enterprise adoption into a much broader vision: sustainability applications that drove real-world impact through tokenization and incentives, brought to market with BCG. Coming from a background in environmental science, it was an inspiring project that really reinforced the potential of the tech to change the world, and galvanised my passion for the sector even more. More recently, VeChain began merging blockchain with AI, building out the trust layer for the agentic economy, something that will only become increasingly important in the years ahead. Web3 is such a unique industry, in that it's also built and powered by people. To be honest, that's the part I'll take away most from. I had the pleasure of meeting so many builders, holders, community voices and creators, across Spaces, conferences and community activations at the UFC and beyond. I made real friendships, and had a lot of fun along the way, all over the world. My camera roll is a testament to the times that took place, and the awesome memories created. You all know who you are! I’m grateful for the trust, the lessons, and even the late nights - experiences that have shaped a formative part of my life. In the immediate term, I will be making the most of time with family, and spending my days with my wonderful daughter, my other full time job. This is certainly not the last you will hear from me as a keen follower of all things blockchain, finance and tech, so don't be a stranger, 'cause I'm not going anywhere! But what's a farewell message without something awesome to share? I have one final $VET update for you all that went under the radar: In June 2026, the Materials Data Foundry initiative was launched with VeChain and @nvidia as key industrial partners. A very cool joint initiative led by Nobel Laureate and VeChain advisor, Sir Konstantin Novoselov, alongside the Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials at the National University of Singapore, and the University of Toronto The goal is to use AI, robotics and blockchain to accelerate nano-material research and find 2D materials with new industrial properties for everything from better battery tech to clean energy, stronger, more efficient materials and much more. The nano-world is full of crazy things waiting to be discovered, and now VeChain's blockchain will play a role in bringing it to life (link in comments). I'll certainly never get bored of seeing blockchain and AI being used to build a better world for us all. I have always been a passionate advocate of the potential of blockchain, and am grateful to have been able to work directly with institutions, businesses and people making it happen - and I plan to continue doing so in the future.
