$1’000’000 in ONE DAY. Yesterday me & @ecom_rg hit a HUGE milestone. Couldn’t be prouder bro. A year ago we almost sold this brand for 2 mil. Yesterday we netted $190k. I’ll share the most important learnings we gathered on the way here in the next few days, but today we celebrate.

This popular ad format for supplements originated on TV over a decade ago I can be seen as a “meta” now but the concept is decades old, just easier to produce in the AI world we live in now. There’s incredible lessons to pull from OG campaigns 📝

The competitive landscape for your specific brand isn’t as cutthroat as software, supplements & other competitive verticals who suffer from competitor brand bidders on shopping / search. Announcing that you do not run brand search also invites competitors to bid on branded terms. At the least, check your competitive landscape from time to time & consider running a brand only standard shopping campaign to show your hero products above the fold. Below are inventory examples which are giving spillover to competitors. I will also DM you the affiliate LLC bidding on your brand, so you can shut them down if you weren’t aware

“Never run brand search” Meanwhile, affiliate marketers you pay to generate cold customers are bidding on your branded search terms 🫠

If you’re following 99% of ‘advice’ online, you’re already late.🪦 My biggest advertising unlocks came from doing the opposite of what 99% of gurus preach. Mediocre strategies are loud & crowded, while unfair edges are abused in silence with little competition. Conduct internal tests & turn this data into your own fundamental truths. Create your own unique philosophies & play in your own “Blue Ocean” while hundreds of others fight for crumbs in a Red Ocean. High caliber information isn’t worth shouting as edges can erode faster. No mentor could have taught me some of the things I’ve figured out with my own internal tests. Take everything you hear online with a grain of salt, conduct internal experiments & create your own methodology different from the herd. The most money is made playing in “Blue Oceans” which requires thinking differently than what 99% of people online advise.
