Last night, the Russians launched more than 100 attack drones at Ukraine, nearly 50 of them jet-powered. Our warriors neutralized most of them, but unfortunately, there were also hits. In Kyiv, “shaheds” struck the Pivdennyi Bridge several times. In the morning, a residential high-rise was hit. Tragically, one person was killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. In Kherson, the Russians “defeated” a kindergarten; in Kharkiv, they attacked a grocery store, and an institute and critical infrastructure were damaged. Enemy strikes also hit apartment buildings in Kramatorsk and Sumy. The Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Poltava, and Rivne regions also came under attack. As of now, four people have been reported injured in the overnight Russian attack. Our services are working wherever they are needed. No matter how hard Moscow tries to fully localize the production of its drones and missiles, its ability to escalate remains critically dependent on foreign components. These are supply chains running from Europe, the United States, China, Japan, and many other countries. Most of these companies are well-known manufacturers, but their components still make their way to Russia. Every Russian drone can actually be stopped right at the production line. What is needed is the political will of these countries. If the Kremlin has chosen more strikes, sanctions must work and must be strengthened. Thank you to everyone who is helping.

🚨 This morning a Russian drone hit a school in Kyiv. Thankfully, the kids were in the shelter and are reportedly safe. Imagine sending your child to school and praying the shelter holds.

Since last night, emergency services and repair crews have been working to address the aftermath of the Russian strike. It was a difficult attack – nearly 190 attack drones, as well as ballistic missiles. And the main target was energy infrastructure in the capital and the Kyiv region. Residential buildings were also damaged. Work is ongoing to restore electricity and water supplies everywhere they are currently unavailable. In the morning, a drone struck a grocery supermarket in Ivankovychi. First responders are extinguishing the fire. Kyiv is also under drone attack. A warehouse building was hit, and one person was killed. There were strikes on critical infrastructure in the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, and Rivne regions. There was also damage in the Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions. As of now, fourteen people have been injured across the country as a result of all these strikes. Tragically, five people have been killed, including a child. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Our defenders managed to shoot down some of the ballistic missiles. But unfortunately, there were also hits. In recent days, there have been new air defense support packages – I thank our partners for the missiles, and everyone who honors our agreements and strengthens the protection of our skies. This is exactly how we must continue to work. Every interceptor missile truly saves lives. And the closer we get to winter, the more of this protection we need. We must do everything to ensure that Russia’s bet on ballistic missile and drone terror does not pay off. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine.

Russia’s terror against Ukraine is intensifying by the day. Yesterday, air raid alerts barely stopped as Russian jet-powered drones attacked our cities throughout the day. Last night, Kyiv was once again shaken by ballistic missiles. Across Ukraine, Russia struck residential buildings, energy facilities, businesses, transport and other civilian infrastructure. In Odesa region, an educational institution, a dormitory, and foreign vessels were hit. This is Russia’s deliberate escalation instead of accepting Ukraine’s offers to cease fire, negotiate, and end the war. Putin’s rejection of peace must have consequences for Russia. We are grateful to all partners who are strengthening Ukraine’s air defence and providing the systems and interceptors that are saving lives right now. Every successful interception proves that this support works. At the same time, Russia must face growing pressure for every new wave of terror. Stronger sanctions, fewer resources for its war machine, and fewer opportunities to circumvent existing restrictions. Moscow should not be allowed to turn another winter into a weapon. Every Russian escalation must bring the opposite of what the Kremlin expects — stronger protection for Ukraine, greater pressure on Russia, and a higher price for continuing this war.

Work to address the aftermath of Russian strikes in our cities and communities is continuing virtually nonstop. They are simply terrorists targeting life, our people, and purely civilian sites – day and night. In Kyiv, the depot at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi railway station, data centers, business centers, and residential buildings were damaged. In the Odesa region, the strikes hit an educational institution, a dormitory, and two foreign vessels. The Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, Volyn, and Rivne regions also came under Russian attack last night. Energy facilities, substations, civilian businesses, and residential buildings were damaged. There were successful interceptions last night, including of ballistic missiles. Thank you to everyone involved in our defense and to everyone who honors our agreements. I am grateful to our American and Norwegian partners for the NASAMS system and the package of missiles for it. I am grateful to France and Germany for the air defense support package provided in recent days, specifically the missiles. Against the backdrop of Russia’s daily escalation, it is important that the protection of life receive continuous support and that such packages continue to arrive. Thank you to everyone who is helping.

Horrific scenes out of Kyiv this morning as Russia used a jet-powered drone to blow up Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences. People are escaping through windows as the building burns. Just like they target kindergartens and schools, now they are bombing science.

Emergency services keep working at the site of the direct strike on the Academy of Sciences building in Kyiv. Sadly, as of now, one person has been reported killed and six people injured, including three children. This afternoon, the Russians also struck a medical facility in the center of the capital. First responders are now working to put out the fire as quickly as possible. Every Russian act of terror results in casualties that could have been prevented if pressure on Russia had finally become total. Pressure on everything that finances and produces Russia’s weapons of terror, and on everyone who uses them. The world must understand that terrorists will keep going if they are not stopped here, in Ukraine. And such brutal strikes must not be ignored. There must be a response – with global resolve and strength. We are counting on the strength of Europe, America, and our other partners who can help protect lives.

In broad daylight, Russia struck a building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the very heart of Kyiv. Tragically, there are reports of people killed and injured in the attack. There is no bottom to Russia’s cynicism. A scientific institution full of people in the middle of a working day has become another target of its terror. Russia is deliberately expanding the boundaries of what it believes the world will tolerate. Every attack left without a strong response only encourages the next one. Our partners have the means to change this calculation. Ukraine urgently needs more missile interceptors to protect our cities, tougher sanctions to deprive Russia of resources for its war, and stronger pressure on everyone who helps Moscow sustain its killing machine. Russia must learn that every attack has consequences. The price of attacking Ukrainian civilians must become unbearable for the aggressor. We also call upon @UNESCO – the Organization dedicated, among other things, to protecting science and the scientific community – to strip the aggressor state of its voice, voting rights and its eligibility for election to any governing or working bodies.

A Russian strike against the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. A rescue operation is underway: crews are putting out the fire and searching for people who may have been trapped inside. All services are deployed. Today in Kyiv, a pharmaceutical company and gas stations were also attacked; in Dnipro, a business center; and in other cities and regions, civilian facilities, businesses, and communications infrastructure were targeted as well. Sadly, people have been killed… My condolences to their families and loved ones. Russia will definitely face a response to this. And every one of Ukraine’s partners must see from this terror, from these strikes, that supporting Ukraine means truly supporting people’s lives – supporting the principle that terror must never be normalized, anywhere. Russia must be held accountable for all of this and face real consequences. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine!

🔴 Russian drones hunted down a combine harvester in the fields of Kherson. Four drones repeatedly struck the machine—donated by Howard Buffett—targeting workers as they attempted to extinguish the flames. It was the farm's very last remaining harvester.

Kyiv. 8:00 AM. Bodies on the asphalt again. Six of the first eight hours of this new day have been spent under russian terror. At least two people are dead. This is what mornings look like when your neighbor is a deranged terrorist with a seat at the UN.

UN 2026 edition. Conference room 1. It's old, has lost itself, needs a profound overhaul. Some say it should return to its roots. The UN stem grew from seeds sown in Yalta by Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill and is no longer a pillar of the world. Is the task of finding itself within the next Secretary-General's capabilities? I don't think so - at least not as long as the criminal Moscow regime continues to drown the Security Council and the UN in blood. Every day. For years. In plain sight of everyone.

Since this morning, work has been underway to deal with the aftermath of Russian strikes on Kyiv. The Russians launched many drones against the city, a significant number of them jet-powered. Russia continues to turn civilian and critical infrastructure into targets: pharmaceutical facilities, gas stations, railways, communications infrastructure, and shopping malls. As of now, two people have been reported killed and another 24 wounded. My condolences to their families and loved ones. There were also strikes on cities and communities in eight regions. At every meeting during the UN General Assembly, we are working to ensure continued support for Ukraine. Equally important is the fair pressure exerted on Russia through sanctions. Ukraine is grateful to everyone who acts and applies principled pressure. Virtually all of our partners agree that while such strikes continue, while this terrorist war goes on, this is no time for weakness. It is important that sanctions send a signal to Russia, including its oligarchs, that the war must be ended, not simply waited out. Thank you to everyone who is helping Ukraine!

All services are currently working at the site of Russia’s utterly inhumane strike on a residential apartment building in Sumy. An aerial bomb hit directly between the third and fourth floors. Four people, including a child, have already been rescued from under the rubble. As of now, we know that, sadly, two people have been killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. There may still be people trapped underneath. Rescuers are doing everything they can to extricate them and put out the fires. The search and rescue operation will continue for as long as necessary. There was also a strike on a clinic in Pavlohrad this evening, as well as a strike on logistics infrastructure in the Kyiv region. This is exactly what Ukraine speaks about every day: the need to stop such savage attacks on life. Right now, the United States has a chance to send the aggressor the right signal: that there will be justified pressure and that the war must come to an end. We expect Senator Lindsey Graham's bill to ultimately become law, and for its leverage to help force Russia to choose peace. Thank you to everyone who is supporting this.
