Dear Governor Siminalayi @SimFubaraKSC , 1. Yesterday, Oct 6 2026, Nyesom Wike came to your private residence in Port Harcourt. 2. He came with political allies, and for about four hours you sat behind closed doors in what has been described as another step towards reconciliation. 3. What was discussed has not been publicly disclosed. 4. Reconciliation is not weakness. 5. Forgiveness is not foolishness. 6. But neither reconciliation nor forgiveness requires amnesia. 7. Sir @SimFubaraKSC , remember October 2023. 8. Barely months into your government, lawmakers loyal to Wike began impeachment proceedings against you. 9. Twenty-four legislators signed the notice. 10. You had hardly settled into the office before you were fighting to remain in it. 11. Remember the years of political warfare that followed: competing legislative camps, battles over your political structure, repeated threats of impeachment. 12. Your government was consumed by a struggle over who truly controlled Rivers State. 13. Another impeachment process emerged as recently as January 2026. 14. Remember March 18, 2025. 15. President Bola Tinubu declared emergency rule in Rivers State and suspended you, your deputy and the legislature. 16. For six months, you were governor in name but unable to exercise the office to which Rivers people elected you. 17. You returned only after the emergency ended in September. 18. Remember also the local-government structure you tried to establish. 19. The Supreme Court eventually annulled the October 2024 elections for failure to comply with electoral requirements. 19. Wike publicly celebrated that judgment, to him it was your public humiliation. 20. Then came 2027 calculations 21. Wike publicly declared that you should not receive another term. 22. He later said that an agreement had been reached whereby impeachment proceedings would be abandoned in exchange for you not seeking re-election. 23. In May 2026, you withdrew from the APC governorship primary, saying you were doing so for peace, stability and unity. 24. These things are now part of the public record. 25. They cannot be wished away because people have shaken hands. 26. There comes a point in every political life when the question stops being, "How do I survive?" and becomes, "What will my legacy be?" 27. Power eventually ends. 28. Government House eventually receives another occupant. 29. Convoys disappear. 30. Titles become old newspaper headlines. 31. What remains is a name. 32. And that is why this moment is bigger than Fubara versus Wike. 33. It is about what kind of governor history will remember Siminalayi Fubara to have been: a man who understood reconciliation without surrendering judgment, or a man whose desire for peace gradually erased the boundaries of his own political independence. 34. You do not need to hate Wike. 35. You do not need to insult him. You do not even need to refuse reconciliation. 36. Politics sometimes requires sitting at the same table with people who once fought you. 37. But diplomacy does not require blindness. 38. A handshake does not require handing over your mind. 39. Peace does not require surrendering your institutional independence. 40. Whatever choices you make as 2027 approaches, make them knowing that nobody will remember your advisers, allies and associates who counselled you at this time. 41. It is you who will be remembered. 42. Governor Fubara, there is still a final chapter to be written about these turbulent years. 43. Write it carefully. 44. Not for Wike. Not for your enemies. Not even for those presently cheering you. 45. Write it for your family name, your people and the version of Siminalayi Fubara that you want history to remember. 46. You're not a coward, you're a warrior who never backed down. Live it! 47. Reconcile if you must. Forgive if you can. But never surrender your cards. Much respect, Dr Preach Ojukwu 07 Oct 2026
All the meetings they must have or have had, must be in wike's house. If not, he's not doing. However, yesterday, wike carried all the members and non members of rainbow coalition to Fubara's house for reconciliation. He heard that Hope uzodinna, Shettima and Amaechi have some cards they've given to Sim to carryout. They've seen and heard of meetings between ADC and NDC with fubara on the know. Wike is worried and hopes that this reconciliation will make Sim give him the blueprint of what the plan is. The question is, will Sim be womanly again, by dishing out what the plan is? You see wike putting his hands on his chest, pledging loyalty to Sim, for the first time, because he wants that blueprint. Will Sim forgive Wike wholly?

NDC DEMANDS RELEASE OF MEMBER ARRESTED IN ENUGU — SHAME ON THE POLICE An Enugu East Magistrate's Court sitting at Nkwo Nike, Enugu State, has remanded in custody a member of our party, Mr. Ani Chidi, for allegedly recording and circulating a video of an attack on our members during a political meeting in Obuoffia, Awkunanaw. Chidi was arraigned by the Enugu State Police Command on Monday on three counts of cybercrime and alleged criminal defamation, under Section 24(2)(a) and (c)(i) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 (as amended in 2024). It is shameful that the Nigeria Police Force, @PoliceNG, under the Inspector-General of Police, @TunjiDisu1, would ignore the thugs who unleashed violence on our members and instead prosecute a member who recorded the incident. It is clear, even to the blind, that the Nigerian state has taken sides with violent criminals attacking members of the opposition. The police are funded by taxpayers to discharge their constitutional duties, not to weaponize their powers against the opposition. We find this action deeply offensive and call for the immediate and unconditional release of our member.

MY VISIT TO THE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA Today, I honoured the invitation of the newly inaugurated President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Dr. Eric Okoye, and other former Presidents of the Association to attend his inauguration ceremony at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos. On the sidelines of the event, I interacted with the new President and members of MAN and reiterated the enormous potential of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector. With the right government policies, an enabling business environment, and stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors, Nigeria can significantly increase the contribution of manufacturing to our GDP. Manufacturing currently contributes about 7.5% of Nigeria’s GDP, compared with about 14% in Egypt, 15% in Morocco, 25% in Vietnam, 19% in Indonesia, and 20% in Bangladesh We must therefore deliberately move from a consumption-driven economy to a productive economy, one that produces, creates jobs, adds value and competes successfully in the global market. A stronger manufacturing sector will expand employment opportunities, strengthen our productive capacity, reduce our dependence on imports, increase exports, and improve the standard of living of our people. I congratulate the new President and his team and wish them a successful and productive tenure. I look forward to continued engagement with the manufacturing sector as we work towards building a more productive and prosperous Nigeria. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

After our oga from Abuja reportedly removed ₦500 billion from the Rivers State budget, how exactly do you expect Siminalayi Fubara to work effectively? Wetin una really want make SIM do? You can’t take away a huge chunk of a state’s resources and expect the governor to deliver.
