Imagine Leon finding Bryan’s note somewhere in the sequel not some huge heroic speech, just a simple record from an ordinary courier trying to survive Raccoon City. Leon is reading about the outbreak, the package, the people he tried to help, and eventually realizing that this random guy was carrying the missing piece needed for the cure the entire time.
And the craziest part is that Bryan wouldn’t even know Leon ever found it. That’s what makes it feel like a proper Resident Evil NPC story. He doesn’t need to become some legendary character who suddenly gets connected to everything. His story can just exist in the background, waiting for another survivor to stumble across it.
That’s how you make an original character feel like he actually belonged in the world. Give him a document, a voicemail, a photograph, a locker, a bloodstained note something that lets the next game reveal that his story was happening alongside the bigger events.
If Leon finds Bryan’s note and just quietly says something like, “He almost made it…” I’M DONE.
Bryan could genuinely become one of those characters fans remember specifically because he WASN’T a hero. He was just another person caught in Raccoon City who left behind a piece of his story for someone else to discover.

Yeah, other than all that, it barely had anything to do with the fucking games.

Resident Evil Movie Review
The words Raccoon City and Umbrella Corporation are said a few times during the movie and they are the only things that suggest its stated source material.
Throwing in random visual references to a Typewriter, First Aid Sprays and Padlocks does not make a Resident Evil movie.
What you get instead is a body horror movie featuring mutants out of an entirely different franchise, a nonsensical setting and a host of "characters" that make such bafflingly stupid decisions, that you feel nothing when they inevitably get killed by their own stupidity.
All wrapped up with frequent poor attempts at humour and an ending that's so bizarre and out of place, even in this nonsense movie, that you end up wondering what even was the point of following this character's journey.
If you think that this is a good Resident Evil adaptation or even a good video game adaptation.
Then you need to actually play Resident Evil and realise that this movie isn't even attempting to be Resident Evil or any kind of video game movie.
