Polygon Prepares for Major POL Burn
Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal says 100 million ethereum:0x455e53cbb86018ac2b8092fdcd39d8444affc3f6 tokens will be permanently removed from circulation.
The burn contract has already been deployed on testnet and awaits final Security Council signatures. The tokens will come from Polygon's fee collector, which currently holds roughly 121 million POL.
Once activated, the remaining fee revenue can support quarterly burns through the same mechanism.
The plan extends Polygon's broader effort to make POL increasingly deflationary as network activity grows.
Agglayer is officially chain-agnostic.
Two milestones in one: Agglayer has connected the first non-EVM chain via @0xMiden. Miden can access unified liquidity without giving up privacy.
Your private chain no longer has to be an island.
Every stablecoin transfer on a public chain broadcasts who sent it, who received it, and how much moved.
For a business moving money, privacy is paramount.
We just launched private payments on Polygon. Here's how it works.
