BYU DL Justin Kirkland admitted he yelled “hut” at the end of the first half, when CJ Carr’s spike was ruled a fumble, which would have been a penalty on BYU.
Carr attempted to spike the ball to stop the clock, but officials ruled it a fumble recovered by BYU after review. Notre Dame center Ashton Craig argued the call, but to no avail. x.com/CougConnect/status/211…

I have to wonder if half the reason for the "Midwestern Excellence" that is so often celebrated on X is that the Midwest exports its worst people to places like NYC, New Orleans, LA, and so on.
Met tons of people in Brooklyn who were from Iowa or whatever and heaped scorn upon their own homeland. And they also heaped scorn upon the natives of their new homeland.
In fact, they seemed to just generally be a scornful bunch who often lived exclusively in "Midwestern expat enclaves" in large cities.
Truly a bizarre demographic, no doubt that much of the Midwest has benefitted immensely from their absence.

To my Notre Dame friends and fans—thank you for putting up with all the insufferable BYU fans today (me included). Please take it as the greatest sign of respect how much this win meant to all of us. You are the big brother and the gold standard. Visiting South Bend last year was a dream come true—a true football cathedral. Football fans everywhere aspire to earn the arrogance that you have earned (and I mean that with admiration and respect). You have an incredible coach and team, so please win out. We will be cheering for you the rest of the way.
Oh, and sorry about not getting one last play. I would have enjoyed watching Carr sail another pass over his receiver…(am I doing it right?😂)
