0% on Rotten Tomatoes and somehow that STILL wasn’t enough to stop Fred. 😭 The movie premiered to 7.6 MILLION viewers on Nickelodeon, then got two sequels and a TV series. That might be the funniest part of Fred’s legacy. Critics unanimously said no. Kids basically said make “another one”. 😂

Still wild that John Cena was just casually playing his imaginary dad in this masterpiece.

A literal 0% score, yet it somehow spawned two sequels and a television series. The early 2010s internet-to-TV pipeline was a fever dream we will never replicate.

Fred the movie was hilarious. Me and my son used to watch it basically every day for about a month straight, laughed every time. Whoever scored it a 0 can go fuck themselves.

That purple cap and wristband combo in the desert like he's about to drop a mixtape not a movie. 0% RT score and still main character energy the whole poster

Watched this yesterday. It's a subliminally horrifying character study of a young man spiraling further into psychosis. It's tragic and uncomfortable, but so very effective. Art should disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed. Peak cinema.

The fact that John Cena played Fred's dad in a movie with 0% on Rotten Tomatoes and still managed to have an A-list Hollywood career afterward is the real mystery here

John Cena appearing in Fred: The Movie is one of those pieces of pop culture history that sounds fake until you actually remember it.

I remember having a dream when I was a kid about a 4th Fred movie where Fred joins the navy. They should make this.

It got two sequels and a Nickelodeon deal off a 0%. Rotten Tomatoes ranking movies has never once mattered to a nine year old with a Fred DVD
