Act 4 & 5 now finished, campaign complete! Just wow… what a great game. I’ll do full thoughts later after some more multiplayer and horde playtime. But damn it feels good to have a solid Gears of War game. Campaign was great and I really loved a lot of the moments between Dom and Marcus toward the end. Campaign on its own I’d probably give an 8.5-9. Definitely recommend! Full game releases today for everyone so go check it out!

I’ve now finished Control Resonant. I absolutely adored this game. The level design consistently had my jaw on the floor and the combat was a good time. When “that moment” occurred toward the end of the game… speechless for a bit. The music in this game is also fantastic and I haven’t seen enough people sing the praises of it. I do have some minor flaws and nitpicks with it, certainly not perfect, but damn is it unique and memorable. If there weren’t so many good games coming out I definitely would’ve done some more open-world activities and trophy hunting. I think Alan Wake II is still my favorite Remedy game but damn this is definitely a close 2nd. Cannot wait for the next..!

Gears of War: E-Day is stunning man 🤯🤯 maybe the best looking game of the year so far?? Coalition/Xbox definitely cooked with this one. It just feels so good to have a true return to form GOW game. Just finished Act 1 now onto Act 2

It’s better but I do wish they’d just drop it all together. Like maybe it can be a customizable option somewhere but certainly not the default or marketing material behind the game.

Someone out there just realized the 240Hz monitor they have has been set to 60Hz this whole time.

Finally finished Wolverine last night. Got the platinum trophy as well. Overall I think the game is fun, but I do understand some of the mixed sentiment about it. I think some of the issues people have highlighted, like the hand-holding, may be a bit overblown, but that is definitely still something to rightfully criticize. The game's combat is fun and brutal. Toward the end I definitely started to feel the repetition creeping in, though. However, because the game is short, this didn't become as big of an issue for me as it was for others online. I think this game is best played in small chunks. Your average gamer's hour or two here and there. It helps that this week was busy for me, so that is often how I played it. While this game is a bit below Insomniac's recent output, I don't think it's fair to completely write them off. The game is competent and enjoyable despite the catastrophic leaks at the company during development, as well as the changes in leadership that occurred. If you're a big fan of Wolverine or the Spider-Man games, I do think you'll get some enjoyment out of it like I did. If the Venom game is truly next up like the leaks suggest, I hope Insomniac knocks it out of the park and can quickly recover from the small stumble. #Wolverine #PS5
