But unfortunately, what is lacking is a consistently strong position from China and India, Brazil and South Africa, the G20 countries, and the Global South. In fact, each of these countries has influence over Russia and can help make peace a reality. I am American but my roots are Lithuanian. russia is my enemy. I know this enemy. It took everything from my family, including their lives and homeland. But they fought back anyway despite being murdered by the russians, exiled to Siberia, forced to run, etc. They were Lithuanian partisan fighters, translators, doctors, and rescuers. Part of my family managed to escape and lived in displaced persons camps for 5 years before being accepted by America as war refugees. The other part of my family that wasn't killed was exiled to Siberia. My great grandparents died never seeing Lithuania become free again. It would become free a few years after their deaths. It is a pain I wish on no one. russia is an ememy to the free world. History shows it. It's unfathomable to me that anyone could think otherwise.
