Kyle Shanahan talks about how they really liked Tristan Wirfs during the 2020 draft but knew they were trading for Trent Williams the day after the first round: “We were sitting at pick 13 that year and we were talking about Tristan Wirfs because Joe Staley was retiring and we didn’t take him. He would have been a great pick— he’s unbelievable, but I remember how mad our oline coach [John Benton] was. We were on Covid on zoom and I could see him on zoom slam the table and walk out, but I knew we were getting Trent Williams the next day because we were trading for him with a fourth round pick, but we couldn’t tell him that yet.” 🎥: @NBCS49ers

Wow. @jtierney6 and @devonhaskins at KGW-TV got people SO MAD about their tabloid journalism “scoop” regarding Braiden Bell’s tweets that they had to totally remove all contact information from their social media profiles this morning. How it started // how it’s going.

Both Aaron Rodgers and TJ Watt are extraordinary players. Rodgers a future Hall of Famer, & Watt an 8x Pro Bowler & 2021 Defensive Player of the Year. Their accomplishments demand respect. However, professional status doesn’t give them a free pass, at work, to disrespect, undermine and humiliate their head coach and defensive coordinator respectively—especially in front of a national audience. We all know passions are high in the heat of battle, but the goal of sports is to do things that build a team and bring it together to win. While there's still a long season ahead, right now the Pittsburgh #Steelers are at the bottom of their division and looking up. Hopefully both players offer apologies that are as demonstrative as their outbursts Thursday night, whilst fully helping to stir the ship forward.

HIS FIRST NHL GOAL! 😤

Regression will hit hard. Struggling to bench him

What if Roman Wilson is the next Parker Washington or Jalen Coker? And we're just letting him sit quietly on waivers.
