2 weeks ago, we returned to The Labour Party Conference to speak with ministers, MPs and policymakers about what it will take to create a future where no man dies of prostate cancer.
👉 Closing the gap for Black men, who face double the risk of developing and dying from prostate cancer.
👉 Building support for our £60 million TRANSFORM trial, helping to generate the evidence needed for a national screening programme for all men at risk.
And👉Ending treatment variation, so access to the best available treatment doesn’t depend on who you are or where you live. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, shared their experiences and joined the conversation. It's about time we pushed further for men.
A very big thanks to the amazing Warren Bowden, who helped to get male sanitary bins to Hyde Park Social Club recently. Chris Manuell, Committee Member also recently hosted a fundraising event for us raising a whopping £1.8k. We thank you all for your continued support to men.💙

We were delighted to deliver two presentations at Portcullis House during Men’s Health Week on prostate cancer risk, symptoms, and key guidance—particularly for men at highest risk.
A big thank you to the wellbeing team at the Men’s Health Lounge for making the event a success.
We were pleased to participate in a drop-in event hosted by the Northern Ireland Cancer Charities Coalition in the Northern Ireland Assembly yesterday.
We spoke to MLAs about Northern Ireland now being the only UK nation not to commission the clinically effective treatment - abiraterone for men with high risk, non-metastatic prostate cancer and why it is vital that this discrepancy is addressed.
Over 2,500 men in Wales are diagnosed with #ProstateCancer every year.

We’ve come far in the fight against prostate cancer, but there is still further to go.
I've been working with @ProstateUK to make the case for Abiraterone to be made available for men with high-risk prostate cancer.
My letter to NHS England on this life saving drug👇
In light of the growing body of evidence around screening the APPG on #ProstateCancer we were delighted to hear from experts from within the European Praise-U consortium earlier this year about the approaches and methods being undertaken in other countries.
“If you’re over-45 and you’re black. If you’re over-50 and you’re white. Get a PSA blood test and you’ll catch it early.”
Sage advice from @colinmcfarlane about the importance of getting yourself tested for prostate cancer.
I have a test annually. I’ve been criticised by GPs for encouraging men to get themselves tested and for calling for a screening programme. It doesn’t look like we’re getting a screening programme so I’ll keep encouraging men to get tested.
We need to break the stigma of asking.
The Government has launched the country's first ever Men's Health Strategy. We’re glad to see the Government prioritising prostate cancer care.
And it's with thanks to @BenObeseJecty acknowledging the moment in Parliament with today's Early Day Motion
