England rowed with the pope all the time. Disagreement over appointments, money, who tried clerics. That’s Fine. That isn’t the same as never being in the Latin church.
After Augustine and Whitby the English church was using Roman-rite liturgy and treating itself as part of the West. Becket and King John and Praemunire are fights over power, not evidence that England had left Rome.
The 1054 angle doesn’t work either. That split was Rome and Constantinople. England stayed with the Latin side for centuries after that.
Cranmer did lift a lot from Sarum for the great Prayer Book, that’s true. Sarum was still Salisbury doing the Roman rite with local nuances, not some ancient English church from before Rome showed up. The Reformation made a national church separate from Rome. It didn’t put things back to 596. (And I’m now blocked by Remnant, hence the screen shot - sad)
