Three Tampa teens were arrested for a series of violent incidents that left 2 victims injured, including a homeless man in critical condition.
At around 2:30am, a white male in his 40s and a white female in her 30s were resting on E. MLK Blvd. The 3 teens approached them, verbally harassed them, and began throwing rocks at them.
The female victim was struck in the back of the head before the teens ran off. She was not seriously injured.
Hours later, police found a Hispanic man in his mid 60s severely injured and unresponsive behind a closed business.
He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, including a traumatic brain injury. He remains on a ventilator.
The individuals involved are 13 year old Samari Bryant, 14 year old Corliss Sirmons, and 16 year old Javonnie Council.
Before the assaults were fully linked, the three suspects, along with a 16-year-old black female, had been taken into custody following an unrelated call for multiple auto burglaries. Evidence collected linked the teens to the attacks.
The investigation revealed the group decided to harass homeless people because they were bored.
They are being charged with attempted murder and hate crimes.
These kids are raised to not value life at all. I can only assume they were raised in volatile homes, likely without fathers.
