ILLEGAL VOTING BUST: ICE and the FBI arrested a Senegalese national in New Jersey after she allegedly voted in three general elections — including two presidential cycles — while not a U.S. citizen. Sanata Coulibaly was taken into custody on a criminal warrant in Hudson County and charged with procurement of citizenship unlawfully and voting by an alien. According to the criminal complaint, she cast ballots in the 2018 midterms, the 2020 primary and general election, and the 2024 general election. She first entered the U.S. on a B-1 visa during the Clinton administration and later received lawful permanent residency under Obama. The arrest lands squarely in the middle of Gov. Mikie Sherrill's escalating standoff with the Trump administration over both immigration enforcement and election integrity. Sherrill revealed last July that a software error had improperly registered roughly 6,600 noncitizens to vote in New Jersey — with about 400 of them actually casting ballots.
