The Ministry of MSME has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), to institutionalize a mechanism for sharing relevant data for the development and strengthening of the Statistical Business Register (SBR). The MoU will facilitate a structured framework for sharing relevant information from the Udyam Registration ecosystem of the Ministry of MSME with MoSPI. The information will contribute to improving the coverage, consistency and reliability of business information used for statistical purposes. Maharashtra prohibited its manufacture, storage, transportation, distribution and sale in July. Maharashtra acted. Now India can have a uniform framework.
