I feel angry when people tell neurodivergent people ‘oh that happens to everyone’ or ‘everyone experiences that’, it goes without saying that neurotypical people experience some of the same stuff - but when you’re struggling to function it feels dismissive.
If everyone really did experience it you wouldn't have to struggle for understanding or empathy. And the stresses that socially constructed wouldn't happen in the first place...
Really struck by the most common word used to describe me in 12 years of psychiatric notes is ‘pleasant’. It’s a very nice word but maybe a good indicator that I’m terrible at showing how I actually feel because I’m trying to put a front on at all times no matter how shit I feel.
I have written to @MayorofLondon calling on him to reconsider the rollout of ULEZ to Sutton. The poor public transport in Sutton, the limited scrappage scheme being offered, and the current Cost of Living crisis mean that too many will be disproportionately affected by the charge

Although it could be a motivation to improve public transport? If we had fast, reliable trains between Sutton and Belmont it would massively improve speed of travel and air quality on Brighton Road.
It’s been a lot colder. Around 8c outside. I don’t feel the need to put the heating on yet. Lowest it’s got in my flat is 17c today. My TV is in my bedroom so I just get under my duvet to get warm.
9 years ago today we lost Dr Petre Jones to suicide. The most caring GP I have ever met. He set up @Projectsurgery1 & believed in personalised, compassionate care. He trained a generation of GPs as a VTS PD & he was the best friend I have ever had. I miss you Petre. #suicidegrief
I feel full of anxiety today like I could meltdown easily. Started late yesterday evening. Feel scared of the world and don't know why. Going to just chill today. Some things can wait.
Feel a bit better with after watching TV in bed with my squidgy toy.
I think I need downtime doing nothing for a period. Even going to Church can be stressful. I like the service but they prefer you to have a tea after and a chat. They have intercepted me when I go to leave 😄.
That's strange, the hospital where I work is business as usual on Monday, including outpatient services. I thought the guidance to do this was from NHS England so would apply across the country.
.@bodycontrol can you email me the link for the first of 6 classes I've booked for tonight? 6pm start? I've had no response to my email and your voicemail says you close at 4.30pm.
The hardest thing about noisy neighbours is not knowing when it will end and when it will start back up. The feeling of dread when you see it's going to be warm weather as you know it will be loud music/garden party.
I've had a 'smart meter' since July last year & it has never worked. This is a real problem (for various reasons) but my supplier insists they can do nothing. I've complained, emailed the CEO (now resigned) & had nothing but the same response. Has anyone else has had the same?
The issue is that I can't access EV tariffs (or similar) which will get really painful with the price rises coming. Wondering if another supplier could be better, but am constantly warned against switching for reasons I don't really understand. And a new supplier may be no better
Yes, the company installed the wrong type of meter for my property so it couldn't measure energy use or communicate with the supplier. I kept getting asked for readings I couldn't submit so had 'estimated' (high) bills. It took 5 months of monthly complaints to get replaced.
The music! According to my mum, I used to cry when 'Bright Eyes' played on 'Top of the Pops' even though at 16 months old I didn't understand the lyrics or the film's plot...
We're huge Agathonians here at Whiteleystones booktique, and whilst we love the usual suspects (None/Orient/Nile), this complex, country house thriller is one of our favourites. Which lesser known Christie books would you like to see on our table? @agathachristie
