People in the nascar industry need to grow a back bone and call it how it is. The Next Gen is a failure and thats okay to admit it

Stage racing is just a disguise to throw a caution and bunch up the field in hopes of some restart drama. No other Motorsport has stage racing. Stage racing is an outdated concept they made in 2017 to bunch the field up

I can’t think of a single thing better about today’s racing than 20 years ago. Other than safety, everything got less interesting. I watch old races on YouTube all the time. I never watch a race from the last 15 years.

Cars trailing and getting each other loose. You know, real stock car racin.

Solid racing here at the end but it’s pitiful to watch these drivers be handcuffed by the aero of this car. Shameful.

If you think anything will turn cup cars into cars that can race like that besides a whole entire new generation you’re kidding yourself. Give me narrow tires, no underbody diffuser aero slop, less mechanical grip, cars that can follow, cars that you can drive off the right rear.

Stages have cheapened NASCAR racing in so many ways. You shouldn’t get credit for where you are running on mile 90 of a 400 mile race. FINISHING position should be king. Give bonus points for leading a lap and leading the most laps. Crash or have a failure with the “dominant” car? So what. That’s racin.

the intro theme CBS used for speedweeks ‘88 makes me want to run through a brick wall. it’s a damn shame nobody has been able to identify the source of the song or anything the past 38 years.

Dale won races and championships in cars not even built on level setup plates against half the HOF. This is the most delusional, revisionist history in search of elevating a current driver I’ve ever seen. You should be embarrassed for saying this and believing it.

Dale also raced in an era that had way less competitive top teams and raced for a fairly good team himself. Put Carson in a JGR car and he does the same shit Dale did and you know that.

This is very reasonable. Good on @Blaney because this is 50/50.
.@Blaney on getting spun racing @CarsonHocevar on Actions Detrimental with @dennyhamlin: “We ran maybe a lap and a half or two laps side-by-side, just trying to clear. Got clear off of [turn] 4, and I left like half a lane to the wall when I did get clear, cuz I wanted to shade to try to stay on the bottom. And he just had a run and crossed over. Looking back on it, I’d say it was 50/50. I was running the bottom, he was wanting to get to the bottom and was there late by a little bit. Neither of us wanted to give. I wanted the bottom, he wanted there, and I ended up getting turned…” “Really I put it on both parties, I don’t think he was 100% to blame, I’m not 100% to blame, it was just two guys fighting for the bottom at Bristol.” #NASCAR

Mark lays it out pretty fair here. It’s almost never a totally one sided deal.
Was Bristol a FAIR fight between Ryan Blaney and Carson Hocevar? @markmartin dropped in on Dirty Mo Overdrive with some thoughts on what Saturday's Bristol Night Race means for the sport 🥊 FULL VIDEO 👉🏼 youtu.be/wiTjEt1Ny6I

Well said. I don’t think enough attention is paid to how this “gentleman’s” code of driving is killing nascar. Nobody 20 years ago ever talked about “cutting him a break”. The fans dictate nascar, not the drivers, and the fans want Hocevar style drivers.

I get hocevar is a very controversial person but Idk how you see what happened yesterday and watch Blaney’s onboard and say that hocevar just dumped him. He was told he wasn’t clear and he kept coming down, and what did he expect? Carson hocevar to back out? Yeah lol bro

Arguments over who had position on corner entry at Bristol is hardly anything new. There are probably hundreds of examples. It’s just Bristol baby!
