We have ample evidence that Congressional Republicans WANT TO LOSE majority status. It could not be more obvious. If you want to PUNISH them by forcing majority status down their throats, in a backward sort of way, I get that. It exposes more truth. But, please don't call them representation, or expect anything positive to come from these placeholders when you've been bitching for a year about their betrayal. Don't be that idiot. A new federal entitlement won’t win you the midterms. Dems already own the Santa Claus, nanny-state, government-as-provider lane. But, it will further diminish conservative turnout, as they tire of supporting the Republican version of the DC debt machine.

This is an unpopular opinion, but I believe it’s accurate. No government policy will solve this. The solution is religion. If people feel it’s a genuine blessing to have children and build a family, and that it’s part of God’s plan, birth rates will climb.

Which is why the problem will never be fixed until there is a constitutional limitation on the ability of Congress to plunge the nation further into debt. Need a change in incentives.

Forcing taxpayers to pay for other families is no different than forcing taxpayers to forgive student loans. You don’t defeat socialism with socialism.
