Im normally in the “it’s hungry” camp but Orcas are just big dolphins and they aren’t known to chow on humans even when the opportunity is there. So I tend to lean towards genuinely curious about the baby. Their intelligence level is high enough to recognize others young.

It's a well known claim that no human has been killed by an Orca in the wild. But if this baby was placed in the water, I have a sense the worst would happen.
