The disclosure thing is a bunch of nothing. Promoters with exclusive deals don't attach real values. For example, if a promoter gets $100mil for 50 events, they just allocate $2mil to each show. Networks buying a specific fight is rare these days. Pretty much just Netflix.

US Boxing was at its rights fee peak in 2019. ESPN, Showtime, Fox and DAZN all with huge investments. The fall is dramatic. Top Rank, Golden Boy and PBC were the best developers of talent. How's that replaced? The establishment has yet to offer a single solution. They have none.

Boxing is missing structure. We used to be able follow a career path and kneowhere in their careers a boxer was in. Univision/ Azteca > ESPN Friday night fights > Shobox > Boxing after dark > Championship boxing > PPV
We knew what boxing after dark was all about . What ESPN FNF was all about. We understood when someone was on midcare of ESPN FNF and few months later on the main event then later on boxing after dark. Great fights at all levels. Guys would need a tune up they'd be on FNF for that. A main event on boxing after dark you understood the brand and that meant a great fight that really good matchmaking out together.
Now pinchi promoters just throw together a card with little ryme or reason. The start of a boxers career can be out randomly on some matchroom card. Just to fill in space. We need the staircase back.

Big heavyweight action on Thursday in Hammond, Indiana. 🇺🇸 Former heavyweight world champion Hasim Rahman (50-9-2) returns after more than 12 years and contests an official professional title fight against Phillip Triantafillo (4-4).
The 396 lbs colossus Richard Carmack (15-16-2), who recently allowed himself to be counted out in a bare-knuckle fight after a push, is also fighting, as is Skylar Lacy (8-1-3), who impressed in 2025 with a DQ loss.

I just want people to understand ONE thing about this whole Ed Sheeran and Macklemore situation:
HE WAS WARNED.
Macklemore did the Palestine bit on the first night in New Jersey. After that, he promised NFL owners he wouldn’t do it again. Then he did it ANYWAY on the second night.
And this wasn’t even his tour. He knew other people’s jobs, contracts, reputations, and livelihoods were tied to this. He knew people behind the scenes would have to deal with the fallout, and he STILL chose to do it. That was selfish.
So if you want to blame Ed because that’s easier than blaming the person who was warned and STILL made the decision to do it again, go ahead. But at some point, people need to take accountability for their own actions instead of shifting the blame onto everyone else.
And before anyone wants to act like Bob Kraft somehow overstepped, let’s remember one very important fact:
HE OWNS GILLETTE STADIUM.
He has every right to decide what happens inside a venue he owns.
Think about it this way: if someone comes into YOUR house as a guest, you give them the rules and they agree to respect them. If they knowingly ignore those rules, you have every right to tell them to leave. You don’t owe someone continued access to your home after they deliberately disregard your boundaries.
The same principle applies here.
At the end of the day, this is a business. Macklemore may be the internet hero right now, but internet applause doesn’t change the fact that he was warned, gave his word, and then broke it.
That makes him a liability.
People aren’t going to trust someone when they know he’s willing to deliberately make decisions that could put other people’s jobs and business relationships on the line.
You don’t get to break your word, ignore the rules, drag other people into the fallout, and then blame everyone else when there are consequences.
Life just doesn’t work like that. Sorry. 💁🏻♀️

People crying about what’s “bad for fighters” never explain how we got here. Plenty of blame across the business, but no accountability or ideas how to fix it. The Ali Revival Act doesn’t exist if boxing weren’t completely broken, corrupt, and incompetent. There's no going back.
