Every great achievement begins with a dream, but it is sustained by hard work, courage and decisive action. As we begin this week, dare to think beyond your current circumstances, remain focused on your goals. Dream with your eyes wide open, see the possibilities and prepare for the challenges and work towards the future you envision.

I believe that investing in local steel manufacturing is an important step towards building stronger economies and creating opportunities for our people. Through our steel plant in Tororo, Uganda, we are creating jobs, strengthening domestic production and helping reduce dependence on imported steel.

Through Devki Group, we continue to change lives by supporting the construction of schools, feeding programmes, education sponsorships, clinics and medical initiatives that address real community needs.

Today, as we commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, we reflect on the enduring values of truth, humility, non-violence and service to humanity. Gandhi's life reminds us that leadership is not measured solely by what we achieve, but also by how we treat others, the opportunities we create and the difference we make in the lives of those around us. His teachings on integrity, compassion and the dignity of labour remain relevant to us as leaders and as members of society. The pursuit of truth is often difficult and demands great effort, but its rewards can be life-changing.  May we continue to uphold these values in our actions.  Happy Gandhi Jayanti!

The establishment and expansion of manufacturing facilities such as the Tororo Steel Plant creates opportunities for employment while strengthening Uganda and the East African industrial capacity. When locally manufactured products are available, supporting local industries helps keep more economic activity within the country, creates opportunities for workers and strengthens the supply chains that support communities.

Establishing factories in different parts of Kenya creates opportunities for people to work closer to where they live while supporting the growth of businesses and services around industrial centres. By expanding manufacturing capacity within the country, we can strengthen local production, create more employment opportunities and contribute to a more productive economy.

The establishment of our clinker plant in Ngaie, Kitui County is creating new opportunities for the people and the wider community in the region. The project has so far created 2,600 jobs, with a strong emphasis on giving local residents the opportunity to be part of its operations. This investment is about ensuring that industrial development translates into employment, improved livelihoods and increased economic activity for the people of Ngaie and the wider Kitui County.

Today, I had the opportunity to visit Kalonzo Secondary School in Mwingi North, Kitui County, where I met with the school community and witnessed the learning environment in which our students are pursuing their education. With our plant now established in Mwingi, it is important for us that our presence creates meaningful and lasting value for the surrounding community. During my visit, we identified areas where we can support the school’s infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for learning. We plan to renovate the school to provide students with improved facilities that support their education and well-being. We also plan to extend our school feeding programme to Kalonzo Secondary School. I look forward to seeing these initiatives take shape and, together with the school and the wider community, contributing to a brighter future for our students.

A new week is a fresh opportunity to turn vision into action and ideas into impact. Wishing everyone a productive week ahead!

By setting up industries in rural areas, we create opportunities closer to home, jobs for local communities, markets for local businesses, skills for young people, and new economic activity that benefits the wider region. Local empowerment means creating an ecosystem where communities can participate in and benefit from industrial growth. That is the kind of industrialisation I believe can help build stronger communities and a more self-reliant Africa.

Leadership is about making sure the people behind you have the confidence, capability and opportunity to move forward. I believe our greatest responsibility is not simply to deliver results, but to build people, create opportunities and establish a culture where excellence becomes part of how we work.

A blessed and auspicious moment for me and my family to perform Shiv Abhishek with Bhai Shree at the Kenya Brahma Samaj on the second Monday of the holy Shravan month. Grateful for this sacred opportunity to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all.

One of the most effective ways to transform rural communities is to create meaningful employment opportunities where people live. Opening industries in rural areas can provide jobs, develop local talent and create a ripple effect that benefits transporters, suppliers, traders, service providers and entire communities.

I am deeply  heartbroken to hear about the Nepal tragedy. More than 700 pilgrims and others lost their lives in the landslide. I am praying for all the souls. May God grant them peace and place in heaven, and give their families peace. Nepal landslide ki khabar sunkar bahut dukh hua. 700+ yatriyon ki maut bahut dardnaak hai. Bhagwan un sabhi aatmaon ko shanti de aur swarg me jagah de. Om Shanti🙏

While faith and spirituality continue to play an important role in our societies, we must also create a balance by investing in industries that create jobs, develop skills and empower communities. Africa is richly endowed with minerals and natural resources. By utilizing our resources responsibly, building industries and investing in manufacturing, we can create employment and transform lives.  Africa has the potential. What we need is greater action, investment and a commitment to building for our people.

Nobody is perfect, and that is the beauty of life. We all make mistakes, face challenges, learn, grow and begin again. Life is about appreciating each day we are given and making the most of it by making sure we uplift others.

I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive the Halvad Brahmaratna 2026 Award. My sincere gratitude goes to the organizers for considering me worthy of this distinguished recognition.  I accept this honour with great humility, knowing that it represents not only my journey, but also the support, encouragement, and shared values of everyone who has walked alongside me in Kenya and East Africa. This recognition further strengthens my commitment to continue supporting education, service, and the values that uplift and empower our communities.
