Some things to ask it:
"What have I read about [topic] and what were the most interesting takes?"
"I remember saving a PDF about [idea]. Find it for me."
"What does [author] argue across the essays I've saved?"
"Summarize everything I read this week."

The new Modern toolbar allowed us to address some long-standing feedback: it's now easier to delete a document, and you can swipe to the next or previous document in your list without backing out.
(however, you are welcome to stay on the Classic toolbar too, if you want!)
Making Chat feel seamless on a phone-sized screen required a new bottom toolbar in the reading view.
It preserves all the functionality the previous one had, while incorporating the ability to ask Ghostreader questions while reading.
Mobile Chat's top priority is to allow you to go deeper, while still staying in your "reading flow".
To keep you in that flow, we made everything fast:
* one tap to open chat
* one swipe to dismiss it
* much faster inference for faster answers
Because it knows where you are in a document, something as vague as "what does he mean here" just works™️
No need to dump a bunch of context for each question
Ask where else the author makes a point and you'll get the answer, with a link to the source passage.
New in Reader: Mobile Chat
Effortlessly ask questions while reading and receive a fast, accurate answer that links directly to the cited text.
Chat is aware of your position at all times -- it's like having an assistant reading over your shoulder.
Introducing: Readwise 2.0.
The same app to easily revisit and learn from your highlights, now rebuilt from the ground up.
Fresh design, smoother animations, much faster everywhere.
Plus: better search, new ways to capture, AI chat, and much more. Live now.
Thank you Ivo!
Reader now supports uploading markdown files.
We will be launching something shortly that should help make a daily reading list easy to build :)
That's ok! Generally the feedback we've received thus far has been very positive, with most folks glad we added this.
However, not everyone is going to love every feature, and (as you've noted) we've made it very easy to disable if you don't :)
Anything you look up is also one tap from saving.
It'll land in your highlights and resurface in your daily review, so new words actually stick.
Available now on iOS and Android. Long-press any word to try it :)
