Tesla's defective self-driving software will still illegally blow past a stopped school bus and run down a child crossing the road!
We warned Tesla of this danger 4 years ago and the safety defect hasn't been fixed in FSD v14 Lite.
Why is this product allowed on public roads?

This is one of the most concerning FSD interventions I’ve seen.
FSD 14.3.5, Australia, Hurry mode, on a two-way 100 km/h highway, today.
My friend Troy was following a car doing ~85 km/h when FSD accelerated toward 100 and initiated an overtake, despite not having a clear view far enough down the oncoming lane.
Then an oncoming car appeared.
Troy immediately braked and disengaged. At those speeds, there was very little margin for error.
Initially I blamed vision-only, but LiDAR probably wouldn't have solved this either. The oncoming car was occluded by the vehicle ahead.
That's actually the bigger problem. FSD couldn't see what was coming... and went anyway.
Occluded doesn't mean clear. It means UNKNOWN.
And even supervised, that's concerning. Troy was hypervigilant and reacted immediately. What if the driver was distracted for just a few seconds?
FSD can be incredibly impressive, but potentially catastrophic decisions like this are why I don't believe Tesla is anywhere near having autonomy solved yet.
Before you remove the human safety net, these are the failures you have to engineer out.
Can't confirm it's clear? Don't overtake.

Boring Company is working on a simple, precursor Hyperloop tunnel between Austin and San Antonio (>200 mph).
Due to traffic congestion, that journey can currently take up to 2.5 hours. @BoringCompany can reduce that to a consistent <30 mins.

Tesla must be running short of money. They're dusting off the old scam where they swindled their own customers out of up to $250,000 for reservations for a car that doesn't exist.
Based on the Semi and Cybertruck's track record, the Roadster will be 2x the cost and 30% slower when it comes out.

FSD (Supervised): v14.3.9
Had to disengage last night after multiple attempts by FSD to enter HOV lane while in Mad Max mode but “USE HOV LANE” set to OFF.
Sent a voice note to @Tesla_AI
This morning also a sharp slam on breaks coming out of broadway tunnel in SF where there is only one lane or one side open due to works. When you exit the tunnel the road theres a chicane set up to divert east-bound traffic to the correct side of the road.
This has been the case for several weeks but theres often been a car in front and FSD appears to follow its path.
Today no car in front and so on exiting tunnel and faced with barriers, polls and temporary arrows it just hit the brakes hard.
FSD (Supervised): prior to version v14.3.9
Carpool/HOV lane entry in Mad Max or Hurry mode when in settings HOV is clearly disabled.
NB on 101 this has been a major issue and required disengagement often on way home because heavy CHP presence and quite rightly risk of a ticket.
So far in v14.3.9 not an issue. And in prior versions it was very highly correlated with Mad Max mode (and Hurry to a degree).
The added frustration is HOV signs and markings on road very clear and at regular intervals so the vision/camera-based system should pick it up?
What’s others experience of this please?
