My first reaction on waking up to the news three years ago. I didn’t celebrate, but I knew exactly what was going to happen because I had been paying attention to actual Israel before 10/7. The worst thing I’ve ever been right about.
The current Israeli government is overtly genocidal and routinely kills Palestinian civilians as a matter of policy; it’s about to kill many more. There’s no excuse for not knowing this; to rally behind them now is a statement of geopolitical preference, not moral principle.

I love Acuña. But it really is wild how he’s just disappeared. He looked locked in during September until he fouled that ball off his shin. Since that happened on September 22nd, Acuña is batting .156 (5-for-32) with three walks and six strikeouts, including tonight. Brutal.
Ronnie’s impact is being felt alright. The challenge he burned on his way to striking out just cost them a lead off walk.
