100% false. The base did not “burn down.” FACT: Thanks to a coordinated effort, just 1 structure was lost. FACT: The firefighting effort on the base is led by federal first responders — supported by local and state resources — given it’s a military base. Spreading misinformation about emergency situations is disgusting and unhelpful.

What is called “fall” in most of America has been called “fire season” in SoCal for all of living memory. Hot, dry winds called “Santa Ana’s” come out of the desert instead of moist winds from the sea. It happens EVERY year. Republican’s clear thick, dangerous brush and fill reservoirs. California used to be such an amazing state. Californians who keep voting Dem should be the last to complain about insurance companies raising rates or dropping their home insurance policies. Rampant fires and crime devastate communities and slash insurance profit margins. Both these threats can be severely reduced by good governance.
