The protests held in NYC were both performative and planned to block nothing. It was basically a bunch of influencers/political leaders pretending they did something.
Netanyahu came in from the FDR on the Northside around 47th street.
This protest was on the Southside around 38th street. It started after Netanyahu had already entered the UN. No one was blocked because all the UN folks drive in on the 40s.
The second larger protest just marched 10k people into Dag plaza. Then 30 minutes into their speech. 100 feet away, Netanyahu drove off to the airport. After the speeches and when Netanyahu got on his plane. They decided to march around again. These were just solitary protests with a bunch of influencers (most I've seen in NYC protests).
Same way zohran said he would arrest Netanyahu. Then had nypd arrest his friends and gave a honor guard welcome to Netanyahu.
