Today, on my BD, I choose to celebrate the life & love of my dear mother Karungi Grace, who left us on the 8th of Nov 2024.
Her love, strength & sacrifices are forever etched in my heart. She gave me more than life & remains my greatest blessing. I miss you, Mama, deeply!
First order of business this morning was to handover the kits for our main sponsor @stanbicug. Thanks @MumbaKalifungwa@Markocitti for receiving us warmly & your commitment to #SavingAMother & giving us a chance to work with you to build a world class running experience in the @imarathonug
A bee sees patterns on a flower that we can’t see. A bird senses the Earth’s magnetic field. An elephant feels vibrations through the ground. A dog can follow a street’s history by smell.
This is the world we share. We say, “That’s amazing,” and move on.
‘The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight. But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.’ ~ Longfellow
A major step for African health security: Uganda’s Quality Chemical Industries Limited @qcil_uganda2 has signed an agreement to develop a generic one-dose influenza antiviral for 129 low- & middle-income countries. It is not in pharmacies yet, but it is an important step toward local production and faster access when outbreaks occur.
Influenza circulates year-round in Uganda and can hit children and other vulnerable groups hardest. In past outbreaks, Africa has often been last in line for antivirals and vaccines. This deal places a Ugandan manufacturer, already producing WHO-standard HIV and malaria medicines, into the global influenza supply chain.

"Standing on the bare ground, — my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, — all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eye-ball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or particle of God."
All my life I’ve been carried by grace
Don’t ask me how cause I can’t explain
It’s nothing short of a miracle I’m here
I’ve got some blessings that I don’t deserve
I’ve got some scars but that’s how you learn
It’s nothing short of a miracle I’m here. 🎵
