Today, on Jason Fossum Day, we laid to rest southern Minnesota’s own Jason Fossum. Jason grew up in the First District with a long, distinguished history of public service and a 29-year career in Minnesota politics. His dedication to the betterment of our state and kindness to others will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

As a fourth-generation corn and soybean farmer, I know firsthand the domestic opportunities E15 can create for producers and consumers. Seeing Guardian Energy’s facility and construction project is a reminder of just that. I was excited to bring together biofuel leaders, farmers, and advocates of homegrown energy to discuss how we can get both a Farm Bill and nationwide, year-round E15 across the finish line.

This week, I visited Buck’s Unlimited, an award-winning, family-owned dairy farm in #MN01. Appreciated getting an update on their operation and talking with area farmers about how provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts, like expanding the Dairy Margin Coverage program, are making it easier for farms like Buck’s Unlimited to deliver the homegrown dairy products our neighbors and our country rely on. As a farmer, small business owner, and member of both @HouseSmallBiz and @HouseAgGOP, it’s always great to connect with the entrepreneurs that bring small business and agriculture together. State Rep. Altendorf and I joined the team at CannonBelles this week to hear more about their coffee, cheese, and ice cream shops in Cannon Falls. I spoke with owners Jackie and Kathy about how CannonBelles gives back to communities across #MN01 by providing its products to schools through local and regional farm-to-table programs. Our House-passed Farm Bill reauthorized these programs that make it easier to connect local food providers with consumers, and it was great to see them in action right here in our backyard. On June 28, 2026, a vehicle struck the Glenville Post Office, leaving significant damage to the front of the building. The following day, the Postal Service halted operations with no indication of when postal operations would be restored. Since then, city officials and residents have received minimal updates from USPS, leaving residents without answers for nearly three months. Today, I sent a letter to the USPS Minnesota-North Dakota District Manager, requesting increased communication and urging USPS to work with the local postmaster to reopen this location as soon as possible.

From generators to engines to regulators, the Electrical Generating Systems Association plays a key role in supporting on-site power generation in southern Minnesota and across the country. Last week, I joined some of their Minnesota members, including representatives from Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc. and GenPro Supply LLC, to discuss their work to strengthen power generation in #MN01.

The folks at @MinnesotaTurkey work day and night to ensure Minnesota stays the #1 turkey-producing state, and I’m proud to be an advocate in Congress for their work to support our turkey producers. I got to catch up with some of their members in D.C. last week to get an update on the industry in the state and what they’re hearing across the country. I’ll continue to work in Congress to ensure our producers have the resources to put nutritious turkey on our tables.

Blue states like Minnesota are refusing to investigate fraud and protect Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars. That’s exactly why the Trump administration created an aggressive @WHFraudTF and @DOJFraudDiv to go after fraudsters, prosecute criminals, and recover BILLIONS in stolen taxpayer funds. Our community credit unions play a critical role in connecting Minnesotans to better rates on loans. I met with the Minnesota Credit Union Network to hear more about their work to serve credit unions across our state and keep #MN01 money local.

Several communities in #MN01, especially New Richland and the surrounding areas, are recovering from flooding after this weekend’s heavy rainfall. My office has been in communication with local leaders and will stay in contact with FEMA to ensure the affected cities and counties have the necessary federal resources to address the damage.
