It’s Farm Safety and Health Week! 🚜 How does the farm bill keep producers safe? The ROPS Act helps make tractor safety upgrades, such as roll bars, more affordable through a cost-share program at USDA, cutting out-of-pocket costs for farmers. The House passed a Farm Bill 139 days ago. Today, @SenAmyKlobuchar will have another chance to prove she stands with farmers over fraudsters by supporting a Farm Bill passage in the Senate Ag Committee.

Why does increasing demand for US-grown agricultural products matter? Because American farmers and ranchers are so productive that they produce far more than we can consume at home. This makes it critical to invest in innovative new products, enhance existing markets, and build trade relationships through export promotion programs.

Alex Buck, Iowa Corn Director of Industrial Innovation, will be testifying in front of the @HouseAgGOP today in his capacity as the @PlantBasedProds Chairman. He will be discussing corn as a feedstock for biobased products and how innovation can help create demand🌽

The House Agriculture Committee gathered this morning for a hearing on increasing demand and opportunities for homegrown products here and abroad. Chairman Thompson summed it up well: food security is national security, and our farmers are the best in the world at what they do.

Today, I sat down with the Illinois Corn Growers Association to discuss the Farm Bill that Republicans passed and the provisions that strengthen our ag economy and support producers across my district.
