The science is clear, the gray wolf population has fully recovered. Chairman @RepMoolenaar and his colleagues have reintroduced the bipartisan CCP Fentanyl Sanctions Act to crack down on China-based entities that are fueling the fentanyl crisis and profiting from poisoning Americans.

Today, I was invited to speak with the @tricitychamber and deliver a congressional update. In this update I discussed progress being made regarding appropriations, cleanup efforts at Hanford, the Farm Bill, agricultural labor, H-2A reform, and PNNL. I have been proud to serve the Tri-Cities during my time in Congress and will continue to do so during these last few months of my term.

On National Hydropower Day it is important to remember that hydropower is one of our nation’s greatest tools for energy independence and part of the fabric that is the Pacific Northwest. I’m proud to have championed my bipartisan “Build More Hydro” bill—now law—that paves the way for hydroelectric dams to provide America with more reliable, clean, baseload power.

This announcement by the President is a betrayal to American farmers and ranchers while making a negligible impact at the grocery store. Importing subsidized foreign beef does nothing to help regrow the U.S. herd, which is the smallest it’s been in decades. This is the wrong decision and will have lasting effects on American farming families.

We stand with the people of Washington, and we will not let them face this crisis alone.
