Rest In Peace Jim Copenhaver On July 13, 2024, Jim went to Butler to hear President Trump speak. A left-wing psycho opened fire on the President and struck multiple supporters in the crowd. Corey Comperatore was killed. Trump was hit in the ear. Jim was shot twice once in the arm, once in the abdomen. He fought for two years after that day. Multiple surgeries. Permanent injuries. Bullet fragments still in his body. Left-wing violence has very real and deadly consequences. This evil must be rejected. Pray for Jim’s family 🙏🏻

My prayers are with the family members of Jim Copenhaver, as they grieve his loss. His passing should serve as continued motivation to provide sufficient answers and closure for the investigation into the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, where two innocent lives have now been lost. To that end, I introduced two pieces of legislation in the aftermath of this tragedy. The first being the Secret Service Prioritization Act of 2024 to refocus United States Secret Service efforts on its protective mission. The second was a resolution to require DHS to hand over all documents, records, and communications to Congress regarding the Secret Service’s handling of the July 13 rally.
