Marine Interdiction Agents from the Miami Marine Unit and Key Largo Marine Unit coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard and moved in for the take down. The target: a 27-foot cuddy cabin vessel suspected of being used for maritime smuggling. The outcome: a safe interdiction without incident. AMO and USCG personnel apprehended 23 individuals, including one suspected smuggler, a Cuban national, and 22 migrants of various nationalities: eight Ecuadorian nationals, 13 Chinese nationals, and one Dominican national. The individuals were transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Pablo Valent for processing, and the vessel was seized. This operation sends a clear message: attempting to enter the United States unlawfully by sea is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk, and will not go undetected.

🚨: On the ground in Eagle Pass, TX and this large group of people, mostly from Venezuela, illegally crossed into the U.S. at 5:00 AM. As they were making their way towards Border Patrol for processing, another large group in the hundreds was crossing the river.
