Let’s be clear: DHS is legally required to provide and pay for ALL medical care in ICE detention.
They are failing to do so.
In July, I opened an investigation with @RepMarkTakano into the lapse in payments and its effects. @SecMullinDHS and @SecVetAffairs, the American people want answers.
Medical care in ICE detention is not negotiable! DHS must pay medical bills instead of spending their billions on cruel shock gloves, robot dogs, and surveillance technology.
