🚨BAD AMENDMENTS ALERT🚨 The House has begun debate on several anti-LGBTQI+ amendments to the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act. We urge the House to unite against these attacks on our servicemembers, their families, and DOD employees and REJECT these amendments!
Republicans want to add three anti-LGBTQI+ amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act. CODIFYING TRUMP’S TRANS MILITARY BAN; TRANS HEALTHCARE BAN for transgender servicemembers and dependents, including banning mental healthcare for servicemembers’ trans children; EMPOWERING CHILD PREDATORS by subjecting DoDEA students who want to participate in athletics to invasive exams of their bodies to “prove” their genders.

🎉GOOD NEWS🎉 A federal judge rejected the DOJ's latest attempt to move a lawsuit over 17 trans servicemembers' revoked retirement pay out of court. The servicemembers, who were forced out under Trump's cruel ban, can stay in court as they fight for what they were promised.

Today marks 15 years since the end of the U.S. military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. The end of this policy allowed LGBTQ+ servicemembers to serve openly, but that was not before thousands of servicemembers were wrongfully discharged for simply being who they were. Over the past 21 months, we’ve seen this Administration attack our brave and selfless LGBTQ+ troops. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee and @EqualityCaucus, I will continue fighting for the rights of all those who just want to serve our country. We will not go back.

Who you love does not impact your ability to serve. 15 years ago, the homophobic “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy was finally repealed. Despite this, President Trump and Secretary Hegseth continue to discriminate against transgender service members, and I will fight for their recognition.
