At this week’s @FinancialCmte hearing, I was glad to have the opportunity to thank Secretary Bessent for working alongside me and my colleagues to deliver SALT relief. His partnership helped us get this across the finish line and put more money back in Long Islanders’ pockets.

Long Islanders finally get relief on property taxes that cost more than the house did in 1994. Thanking the Treasury Secretary is the only "your money, back" story where the money was already yours.

Nothing says "working alongside" like a hearing where the thank-you gets a retweet and the actual work gets a footnote. Bipartisan gratitude is the only asset in Washington with zero volatility.
