What started over 100 years ago as a traditional family dairy farm transformed 15 years ago into Heber Valley Artisan Cheese, a move driven by a passion to keep innovating. A big thank you to the team at Heber Valley Artisan Cheese for having me out for a tour. We had a great conversation about their journey, the evolving dairy industry, and what it takes to run a successful local business today.

It was great to meet with my friends at the Utah Hospital Association and discuss our shared commitment to strengthening healthcare across the Beehive State. We had a productive conversation about the Rural Transformation Fund to support our rural communities, cutting unnecessary red tape to streamline care, and fighting to ensure that every patient in Utah receives the most affordable healthcare possible.

239 years ago today, our Founders signed the greatest charter of liberty ever written, establishing the most prosperous and free nation in history.  Benjamin Franklin famously reminded us that we have “a republic, if you can keep it.” Today, the responsibility to keep it is as important as ever. The freedoms secured by our Constitution must be protected and passed on to the next generation.

This week, the House passed my 8th bill. Washington frequently rewards noise over results, but my focus remains crystal clear: delivering real outcomes for the people of Utah. The work continues.

I was able to speak on the House Floor this week to recognize a landmark moment in the history of my home state of Utah as we open the doors from April through October 2027 for the public open house of the renovated Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For generations, this iconic structure has stood as a beacon over Salt Lake City and a symbol of faith recognized around the globe. To witness its restoration is to stand at the intersection of our rich history, modern ingenuity, and enduring spiritual devotion.

25 years later, we remember September 11 and the Americans we lost that day. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the families who endured unimaginable loss, and the countless Americans who chose courage and service in a moment of profound darkness. We honor their sacrifice by renewing our commitment to the promise of America. We will not allow hatred or terror to diminish our resolve and keep us from standing for the freedoms and principles that make our country great. May we never forget.

One year ago, America lost Charlie Kirk in my own district in Utah. He was a patriot, a man of deep faith, a devoted husband and father, and a tireless champion for free speech. Through his work, Charlie inspired a generation of young Americans to engage in the political process and stand up for what they believe. His life was cut short by senseless violence, but the principles he stood for did not die with him. We should honor Charlie by keeping those principles alive. By standing for free speech. By defending our liberties. And by continuing the work of building a better America.
