One year ago today, our community lost three of Northern York County Regional Police Department's finest. Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker, and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser, gave their last full measure when they were ambushed in the Line Of Duty. Their courage, fortitude, and selflessness that day - and every day prior - reflects the very best of Law Enforcement. Following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we received alarming reports of President Biden’s FEMA staff “skipping over” impacted homes with political signage supporting President Trump. The Stafford Act is clear: FEMA may not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, nationality, sex, age, disability, English proficiency, or economic status. My Bill, HR 1342, the “Stopping Political Discrimination in Disaster Relief Act,” adds “political affiliation” to this list. And what a shame that it even needed to be said.
