Are you saying that the military of the United States of America is incapable of properly dealing with our servicemen? Are you suggesting that our military is incompetent? There were ZERO successful suicides on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Here’s some actual numbers. The numbers that you’re avoiding to mention. In 2024 the active-duty Navy recorded 356 suicide attempts among roughly 337,000 sailors and 60 deaths by suicide (a rate of about 18.2 per 100,000). That attempt figure is the most recent official Navy-wide benchmark cited in reporting. A typical carrier strike group deployment has been described by some officials as seeing one or two attempts; eight attempts across a 6,000–7,000-person strike group over a single extended deployment was therefore higher than that informal baseline, though officials also said the rate was roughly consistent with the Navy-wide 2024 attempt rate when scaled to the population and time period.

Rep Peters plays unserious politics while USS Abraham Lincoln defends his freedom to be an ass clown.
"The Lincoln CSG is a strong team of high-achieving Americans standing tall with immense, justified pride in everything they accomplished," said Cooper. "History will record this deployment as one of the most operationally intense and consequential of the modern era."

Overall injury and illness rates stayed within normal deployment ranges, Rep Peters. Exploiting these sailors for your political gain is abhorrent and disgusting. You’re a despicable gaslighter who never acknowledged CVN-72’s amazing successes eliminating the world’s greatest threat to peace. You dishonor their outstanding accomplishments, and deserve our sailors scorn. @CVN_72
