Really simple: judges should be liable for negligently releasing a repeat offender who goes on to commit a serious violent crime.

For 250 years, our country has been built on individual liberty, limited government, and the belief that every American should have the freedom to pursue their own future. Those principles are worth defending.

Today, I recognized Huntersville’s Ambassador Christian School on the House floor for their big win in the Global Ireland Football Tournament!
The Lions traveled to Ireland and brought home a 58-34 victory over Grapevine Faith from Texas.
Congratulations to these outstanding student-athletes for representing Huntersville and North Carolina on the international stage.

Tonight, the House took action to prevent a government shutdown by passing H.R. 9770, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2027. This bill funds the government through December 4 while Congress works to finalize full-year appropriations.
I voted in favor of this clean, straightforward continuing resolution to protect the critical services Americans rely on while ensuring political games do not jeopardize the funding process.
