An education theorist argued grouping kids by ability creates unfair “racially segregated classrooms.” Her book helped fuel a movement to put beginners and advanced kids in the same classroom. Here’s how that push has held smart kids back:

Its a No for me for sure!
For years, WCPSS took money meant for HVAC repairs/updates and spent it elsewhere. WCPSS NEGLIGENCE created the issue that we're in now with broken units. Vote NO on the bond to give them even more $$$ to waste. #WCPSS #NCED @M4LWakeNC @WCPSS @NCAuditorBoliek

Any student can possess any characteristic, that's not Identification. The right thing to do ID #Gifted and #Profoundlygifted students is look at IQ and Overexcitabilities. Identification is laid out in the 2026 Gold Standards for Gifted Programming from the @GiftedConsortiu
can’t emphasize enough how incredibly FUBAR the American gifted “identification” process has become It’s actually a thousand different processes and 3/4 of them suck

And yet, this is pretty much what MANY MANY parents of highly #gifted students are ultimately forced to do.
"It shouldn't be this hard to give our kids a great high school experience" Direct quote from a new friend who just started homeschooling her 6th grader bc she was so advanced in math the school couldn't contain her. Friend trying to find an in-person high school & is so disappointed in everything. It shouldn't be possible for untrained homeschool moms to provide a superior education to educators who've been doing it for decades. But it is.

We really live in an upside-down world when NOT paying to have your nails manicured and painted is somehow a "class" and "race" issue? 🤣 archive.is/mlzy5#&_intcmp=fn…

Strictly is OUT! On Nikole Hannah Jones and how she has ruined the lives of black children in NY. And she dares to blame the teachers.🤯 You will see me get pretty angry… 😊 youtu.be/yYcYPKSUIKA?is=R9TJ…

Anyway, I'm glad people have stopped asking us if we have "education experts" on staff The "experts" are morons. No one should be listening to them (8/n)

Maryanne Wolf never had a HG-PG child that started reading and comprehending at age 3. Kids like this have a voracious appetite to consume all the words in the world through reading. Id like to see her try to tell an HG-PG child to "wait until they're 6 years old " 🤣
"I even think that it’s really wrong for parents to ever try to push reading before 5," says Maryanne Wolf, director of the Center for Dyslexia, Diverse Learners and Social Justice at UCLA. (1/n)

Years of research says failure to meet needs of gifted students leads to cognitive & affective harm. If everyone knows, it is time to make a difference in schools. Let's get districts to adopt the 2026 HG-PG #Gifted Programming Gold Standards & do better for these students 🙏
Underachievement and poor social-emotional development including anxiety, depression, and identity issues can be attributed to the failure to meet the cognitive and social-emotional development of children who are gifted. Identification is essential! giftedconsortium.org/highly-…

Unlike Nikole Hannah-Jones, who practiced what she preached about public education, Kamar Samuels, Mayor Mamdani's @DOEChancellor, sent his oldest child to The Browning School, a pricey private all-boys institution on the Upper East Side, for K to 5th grade. In 2020, Samuels transferred his son to a DOE middle school as he laid the groundwork to rise in the city system. Details: substack.com/home/post/p-191…
Not mentioned in Nikole Hannah-Jones’ bombshell piece: Current @doechancellor Kamar Samuels served as Brooklyn’s District 13 superintendent in 2019 to 2022, overseeing the middle school that the writer’s daughter complained had killed her hopes of getting into a specialized high school. Samuels also oversaw struggling PS. 307, where Hannah-Jones now regrets sending her daughter. Then-PS 307 principal, Stephanie Carroll, is now the DOE’s Director of Literacy, and the school still shows abysmal reading and math scores well below the city average. nytimes.com/2026/09/20/magaz…

Always remember that people like Nikole Hannah-Jones, happily ushered in "equity" policy to sacrifice your children while sacrificing her own. Her mea culpa article didn't address the even bigger mistakes she has made in education. #gifted youtu.be/IVJXiAUJ8Is?is=qRyP…

Nikole Hannah-Jones admits her school experiment harmed her daughter. She still thinks the ideology that produced it was correct.

Throwback to that time in 2020 when I baited the Left into defending 2+2=5, including some pretty impressive mathematicians, and it actually took off because Nikole Hannah-Jones tried to dunk on a joke I made that hit too close to home.
