He used lighter Sea Kings and White Hawks. I am aware the #WHhelipad was paid for by #Sikorsky, the helicopter manufacturer. To me it's a subtle "bribe" for the President to use the bigger helicopter so the manufacturer gets free publicity for that larger model each time it's used, which will help sell S-92 helicopters internationally, like South Korea for example, for about 30 million EACH, so $5 million "donation" is miniscule for the return they'll get. 😆 Trump likes extravagant, that's undeniable. Trump can justify his extravagance as necessary or patriotic or say other countries do this or that, but that doesn't change the extravagance: The ballroom, the giant flagpole, the Arc de Triumph planned near Arlington. He paved over the Rose Garden lawn and turned it into a stone patio with umbrellas, basically a Mar-a-Lago pool deck. Jackie Kennedy’s garden, gone. The Lincoln Bedroom bathroom got a full gut job — black and white marble, gold faucets — and he posted the photos himself, calling it “very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln.” He’s gilding statues around the National Mall with taxpayer money, about five million dollars’ worth, and slapped his name on the Kennedy Center. Golf trips are the quieter version of the same thing. Trackers put the security and travel cost past a hundred million dollars in this term alone, and a lot of those weekends land at his own clubs. Obama was a golfer but he golfed at federal facilities that required less additional security and saved taxpayers. Trump goes out of his way to golf at his properties and his businesses receive government money for him doing so. It's unethical but not illegal. And the Qatar jet — $400 million gift from a foreign royal family, painted in his red-white-and-gold colors, with the deal structured so it could end up at his presidential library and Trump could fly it later for his own personal use, so he would benefits. The DoD spent over $400 MILLION to retrofit that jet just for Trump to use for two years, even though the older Air Force One jets were fully functional, safe, and secure. The newer jets are delayed by Boeing. I get it, but there not necessary NOW. When the jet is decommissioned in 2029, millions MORE of taxpayer money will be spent again. I can go on with more extravagance by Trump, while the government doesn't have money for child cancer research and other things, AND Trump has added almost $4 Trillion to the debt in less than 2 years. 😡
