Texas was built by hope. By people who had no business believing — but believed anyway. To every Texan who’s ever wondered if anyone in power is paying attention: We are taking our state back. Because a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing.

Despite childhood abuse, poverty, and homelessness, Amy Acton became a doctor and public servant. Vivek Ramaswamy became a billionaire and somehow still managed to be the poorer example of human character.

The guy that used to sniff coke off toilet seats is crying about a shortage of nurses like it wasn’t the Trump administration that revoked professional status for nursing school students and cut all their federal assistance so they can’t afford school smh

Had lunch with a friend today, for the first time ever they voted straight democratic ticket. They are republican, but decided that Trump and republicans must be stopped, and knows this is the only way.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

So what exactly ARE El-Sayed's so-called ties to terrorism. His half-sister (raised by his mother) said his mother was a member of it in the 70s. A few things about that. 1. The Muslim Brotherhood had already denounced terrorism. 2. El-Sayed wasn't even born. 3. El-Sayed was raised by his father and step-mother since he was 3. 4. The Muslim Brotherhood wasn't even declared a terrorist organization by the US until the Trump Administration did so in January of this year. 5. The specific allegations that led to the designation only happened in the last two years. 6. The allegations haven't been proven, and the Egyptian chapter has denied them. So 50 years before these things happened, and 10 years before he was born, his mom belonged to them. If this sounds like Obama's Brother Part 2, it's because it is. This isn't about truth. It's about smuggling in racist assumptions.

So the guy who birthed the idea of slowing down Starlink to aid Russia—a decision that resulted in death and risk to US personnel in Ukraine—is also the biggest donor to the Republican party and is single-handedly trying to tilt the Texas Senate race to the GOP. I have that right?

Still can't believe that Trump and Republicans enacted a law that made the poor poorer while making the rich richer. Taken as a whole, the Big Beautiful Bill was the biggest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in all of US history.

The corruption is massive.
The guy who wrote Trump’s crypto law was on the payroll of the company it regulates. When the law passed, they made him CEO. Bo Hines is 29. He ran for Congress twice and lost both times. He’d never worked in government or crypto. In January 2025, Trump made him executive director of the White House crypto council. His first priority was writing the GENIUS Act, the first real crypto law in American history. Billions of dollars depended on the details. The Wall Street Journal just revealed that Hines owned a third of a consulting company while at the White House. His dad owned another third. Weeks after Hines started, the company signed a deal with Tether, the biggest crypto company in the world. Tether paid them $415,000 a month while Hines was writing the bill that would regulate it. Trump signed the bill in July 2025. At the ceremony, he asked, ā€œWhere’s Bo Hines?ā€ Hines stood up and took a bow. A month after Hines left the White House, Tether made him CEO of its U.S. division. He bought a bigger house. His dad bought a private jet. This is how the place runs now. Trump set the example and everyone underneath him is keeping up. I break it all down and much more in today’s show (link in reply).
