Here we go again. The consequences of convict loving libs being elected to positions of power. A man already out on pretrial release walked through a family festival in Aurora, Illinois, and started punching strangers in the face. Prosecutors say the victims included two women, a 15-year-old boy walking with his sister, and a father carrying his 1-year-old child. He was charged with four felonies. Here’s the best part. Illinois released him the same day. This happened Saturday night, Sept. 19, at the sixth annual Moon Festival at Pacifica Square, a free family event that has run since 2020. More than 1,500 people showed up for cultural performances, food, and music. Around 7:09p, prosecutors say 30-year-old Calvin Jones of Aurora started hitting people at random. First, they say he walked up to a 15-year-old boy who was with his sister and punched him in the mouth, just under the left eye. No argument. No reason. The kid did nothing. Then he walked up to two women and asked for a cigarette. They said no. He punched both of them in the face. Then a man walked past carrying his one-year-old child. Prosecutors say Jones punched that father in the face too. Aurora police caught up with him a short time later near a restaurant at 4400 Fox Valley Center Drive. As they were taking him into custody, prosecutors say he spit directly into an officer’s face and eye. He is charged with three Class 3 felonies of aggravated battery in a public place and one Class 2 felony of aggravated battery to a police officer. Then of course, Illinois let him walk. Under the SAFE-T Act, those charges are non-detainable. Huh? He was released with “conditions.” Stay away from the victims. Stay out of Pacifica Square. That was it. It gets worse. Jones was already out on pretrial release in a DeKalb County burglary case. He was already in the system. Prosecutors say he used that freedom to punch a teenager and a father holding an infant. DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin called the attacks “completely unprovoked” and “unconscionable.” Next court date is Oct. 13. I’ve enjoyed posting my Tool Report. I was making some great friends, it was gaining in popularity and was certainly unique. No one on the interwebs was doing a fact-checked report like this. It was a lot of work. Then in August the florescent green-haired pieces of sh*t still working at X soiled themselves and began to throttle me. Probably one too many, “happier than Don Lemon under a pecker tree” comments. I went to almost zero new followers for the entire month (I went from one to 4675 in ten months) and my views went down significantly. Twice when I paid for boosts, they paused it, essentially canceling it, but cheerfully kept my money. And once they wouldn’t even allow me to post a Tool Report until I removed the word “Som*lians.” (I attempted about ten times until I found the offensive word). So I’m no longer having fun. And if it’s not fun, I won’t do it. I’ll keep the account and post but I won’t be doing a nightly report. I’ve said it many, many times and it’s a hard and fast rule. Twenty five years ago today the deadliest attack on American soil occurred. Some of the followers of this account were not of “news age” at that time. But everyone who has seen the videos of those planes hitting the Twin Towers has those images burned into their memories forever. Many of our fighting aged boys and girls joined the armed forces. I’d like to humbly provide a short recap on what happened that morning when everyone in the United States was in front of a television. On the morning of September 11, 2001, nineteen men from al-Qaeda hijacked four US airliners and turned them into missiles. American Airlines Flight 11 left Boston for Los Angeles. Mohamed Atta of Egypt flew it into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. With him were Abdulaziz al-Omari, Wail al-Shehri, Waleed al-Shehri, and Satam al-Suqami, all Saudis. Seventeen minutes later United Airlines Flight 175, also out of Boston, struck the South Tower. Marwan al-Shehhi of the United Arab Emirates was the pilot. Fayez Banihammad, Ahmed al-Ghamdi, Hamza al-Ghamdi, and Mohand al-Shehri were the other hijackers. American Airlines Flight 77 left Dulles for Los Angeles. Hani Hanjour of Saudi Arabia flew it into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m. Khalid al-Mihdhar, Majed Moqed, Nawaf al-Hazmi, and Salem al-Hazmi were with him. United Airlines Flight 93 left Newark for San Francisco. Ziad Jarrah of Lebanon was at the controls. Ahmed al-Haznawi, Ahmed al-Nami, and Saeed al-Ghamdi were the remaining hijackers. Passengers and crew learned of the other crashes by phone, fought back, and forced the plane down in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at 10:03 a.m. It never reached its likely target in Washington. Todd Beamer was heard saying, “Are you ready? Okay. Let’s roll,” before 93 crashed. The South Tower fell at 9:59. The North Tower fell at 10:28. Official counts put the dead at 2,977, not including the nineteen terrorists. That number includes 2,753 at the World Trade Center site and 343 New York firefighters, plus 184 at the Pentagon and 40 on Flight 93. Al-Qaeda, led by Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri, (and in part Khalid Sheikh Mohammed who mastermind the attacks), claimed responsibility for the operation. Bin Laden had declared war on the United States years earlier from Afghanistan, where the Taliban sheltered him. President George W. Bush was reading to schoolchildren in Florida when the second plane hit. Within hours every civilian flight over the United States was grounded. Combat air patrols filled the skies. Congress authorized the use of force. On October 7, 2001, the United States and allies launched Operation Enduring Freedom. American and British aircraft and special operations forces struck Taliban and al-Qaeda camps. The Northern Alliance took Kabul. The Taliban government collapsed. Bin Laden slipped away at Tora Bora that December. The hunt for him lasted almost ten years. On May 2, 2011, local time in Pakistan, Navy SEALs from DEVGRU, known as SEAL Team Six, raided a compound in Abbottabad under Operation Neptune Spear. They killed bin Laden on the third floor. His body was identified and buried at sea from the USS Carl Vinson within twenty-four hours. Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed on July 31, 2022 at the age of 71, in a US counterterrorism drone strike in Kabul, Afghanistan.  The strike targeted him while he was standing on the balcony of a safe house, and used Hellfire missiles fired by the CIA to blow him into little al-Qaeda chunks. The war that began that Tuesday morning in September did not end with them, but the two terrorists who ordered the attacks were gone. So many heroes died that day and continue to die from related illnesses. We were one country on 9-11. No political division. No left versus right. It was all of us against them. We said we’d never forget. Okay, I haven’t done a gun review in a while because I’ve been on ahem… “gun restriction.” Okay, so a couple of weeks ago I found myself inside a local gun store in a top secret location and I purchased the Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 (non comp). I ran a hundred and fifty rounds through it. Let’s get some vitals out of the way. Unloaded, it weighs 9.8 ounces, measures 5.5 inches long, 4 inches tall, and 0.88 inches wide, with a 2.75-inch stainless barrel. It came with 2 ten-round flush mags and you can purchase a twelve-rounder for north or south of forty bucks. The striker-fired flat-face trigger breaks just under five pounds with a nice reset, and the tritium front sight with U-notch rear is easy to pick up. The rear sight is a piece of sh*t so I’m replacing both of them with XS’s R3D 2.0 night sights. Yes, of I know I will probably not be using sights to stop a threat. I just dig target shooting and having the cool kids’ stuff on my gun. It has a great grip angle, completely disappears in almost any pocket with a suitable DeSantis-style holster, and the recoil is better than my Ruger LCP Max. I got the sale price of $439. I absolutely love this pistol. I highly recommend it if you can do pocket carry. Okay, that’s my gun review. Hope you enjoyed it. If not, I’ll cheerfully refund what you paid. Let’s get you caught up on why Fox fired Maria Bartiromo. This is what I know so far. Fox News Media announced on September 3, 2026 that Maria Bartiromo is no longer employed there after 12 and a half years. The company issued a short thank-you statement and later described the split as a business decision. She had not been on air since August 9. The reported trigger was a July 2026 primetime speech by President Trump alleging Chinese interference in the 2020 election, including compromised voting machines and related schemes. Fox executives then sent internal guidance, described as a text to senior staff, directing them not to give credence to those claims. The network was already wary because of the 787.5 million dollar Dominion settlement and the still-pending Smartmatic lawsuit. Bartiromo wanted to pursue the story. When White House officials asked why Fox was not covering it, she disclosed that her bosses had blocked the coverage and shared the internal text with them. Fox learned of the disclosure, viewed it as a breach of confidential company information and her employment contract, and moved to end her tenure. Her executive producer Patrick Ignozzi was also let go. Bartiromo has retained attorney Bryan Freedman. Her weekday morning program was immediately rebranded Mornings with Fox Business using rotating anchors. The Friday Wall Street show and Sunday Morning Futures also received new or fill-in hosts. Bartiromo has not issued a public comment. Before Fox, Maria spent about 20 years at CNBC, from 1993 until late 2013. She joined Fox Business and Fox News in early 2014. At CNBC she became the first television journalist to report live on a regular basis from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She hosted Closing Bell and On the Money with Maria Bartiromo, and also contributed to Squawk Box and other market programs. She earned the nickname Money Honey during that period. Before CNBC she worked five years at CNN Business News as a producer, writer, and assignment editor, starting in the late 1980s after graduating from New York University. Energy Secretary Chris Wright attended as Chevron pledged more than seven billion dollars to more than double its production there. _____ A shooting at a downtown Minneapolis apartment building Wednesday left three people dead including the gunman and wounded three police officers plus other civilians. The suspect was known to police from a prior incident and the violence began during what officials described as a child custody exchange. Okay let’s get you caught up on what happened in Iran last night. US forces launched a new wave of strikes Tuesday against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets across southern Iran after Tehran tried again to mine the Strait of Hormuz and fired missiles at an American base in Jordan. Central Command said the attacks hit air-defense sites, radar systems, maritime facilities, mine-laying equipment, and communications nodes. Explosions were reported in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Chabahar, Jask, Sirik, and near Jiroft airport. Iranian officials also reported hits in Khuzestan province near Ahvaz and Aghajari that they said killed seven people. Iran claimed one strike struck a house during a wedding celebration in Kuhestak, killing four or five people including a four-year-old child and wounding more than fifty, many of them women and children. The US military said it does not target civilians and noted the reports originated in Iranian state media. You can’t believe one word coming out of that sh*t hole. Tehran then fired ballistic missiles and drones at US and allied sites in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Erbil. Jordan intercepted most of the incoming missiles. The United States said it suffered no casualties. President Trump called the American operation large and powerful and warned that any further Iranian retaliation would bring a much harder response.
