Wow!!! The Vice President of the United States just did the strangest thing a serving VP can do. He wrote a public autopsy blaming his own administration's war for a historic defeat. By the time I read it, it had 38 million views. If you read it as "venting" then you missed the whole point. But if you read it as positioning and it snaps into focus. A loyal number two eats a loss like this quietly. You do NOT go out in public and pin the worst night your party has had in years on the signature policy of the president @POTUS you serve. @JDVance did exactly that, and he gave himself cover doing it, "the president himself said so last night." He is using Trump's own words as a shield while making Trump's war THE reason the GOP lost the SENATE for six years. Call that what it is, a man building distance and making sure he cannot be blamed for building it... Now look at his four reasons, the ones he hangs on the base. 1. End the war. 2. Cost of living. 3. America First. 4. And then, change our relationship to Israel. Three of those are safe populist lines any Republican can shout. The fourth is the one that ends careers in this party and this America, and instead of saying it in his own voice, he put it in the mouths of the voters. That is how you float the most dangerous position in the GOP without owning it. I am only telling you what the base wants. So the real signal is underneath all of it. Vance is reading where the Republican coalition is GOING, well ahead of where it is today. He is planting a flag in the anti-war lane while the war is still on, because if it goes badly through 2027 every I-told-you-so compounds in his favour. And he is loosening the one tether, Israel, that a post-war base may punish hardest. He is buying a cheap option on 2028 and letting the party's own anger pay for it. The order of effects runs outward from there. 1. First he boxes Trump, who cannot disown the war-cost-us line without contradicting his own mouth. 2. Second he claims the restraint wing of the party before any rival moves into it. 3. Third, and the region is reading this too, the second most powerful man in Washington just told the world that the American appetite for this war is cracking. 4. Allies and adversaries both price that in. This is what the opening of a succession looks like. A weakened principal, a war that split the coalition, and a VP who is first into the crack. None of that was a slip. He drew a map for his own career. I fear for his safety. 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗟, 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗜𝗦𝗘!

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises. All Republicans had to do was: 1. put Americans First 2. not start another war 3. prosecute sex traffickers

All of this was avoidable. All Republicans had to do was keep the promises they made to win in 2024. This is the biggest fumble in modern political history.

UPDATE: The European refrigeration cyberattack has now reached Italy and Romania, bringing the total to at least 10 countries affected across Europe. In Italy, several Coop stores in Sicily were hit, including at least three in Catania and one in Palermo. In Romania, at least six stores have reportedly been affected. Some affected businesses have yet to publicly disclose the incidents, meaning the actual number of countries and locations impacted could be even higher. The full scale of this cyberattack remains unknown. Countries affected so far: 🇸🇪 Sweden 🇧🇪 Belgium 🇱🇺 Luxembourg 🇪🇪 Estonia 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇳🇱 Netherlands 🇫🇮 Finland 🇩🇰 Denmark 🇮🇹 Italy 🇷🇴 Romania
UPDATE: Since our last update, two more countries have reported disruptions to supermarket refrigeration systems, bringing the total to seven countries affected across Europe. 🇸🇪 Sweden and 🇧🇪 Belgium appear to be among the hardest-hit countries, with multiple supermarket chains and stores experiencing significant disruptions and food losses. 🇱🇺 Luxembourg has also reported incidents affecting Delhaize stores. 🇮🇪 Ireland has seen refrigeration disruptions at 13 SuperValu stores, forcing chilled and frozen products to be removed. 🇳🇱 The Netherlands has reported incidents at at least 17 businesses, primarily smaller retailers, butcher shops and food-storage facilities. 🇪🇪 Estonia reported a cyberattack targeting refrigeration controls, with freezer temperatures reportedly reaching +50°C. The incident was detected and addressed within approximately 10 minutes, preventing major damage. 🇫🇮 Finland has reported only minor, limited-scale temperature irregularities in some K Group stores. The situation there appears significantly less severe than in other affected countries.

These Ring videos of certain demographics raiding candy bowls on Halloween bring me back to what I like to call the Farm Stand Theory and which I think has been coined elsewhere as the Farm Stand Test. Most of the neighborhoods I’ve lived in have had a house with an unmanned farm stand. You take fresh produce or eggs and leave the money in a box. It runs entirely on the honor system. If you are moving and looking for a new community, find one that has a farm stand. The farm stand immediately tells you that the community is safe, neighborly, and high trust. The farm stand reveals more than any other single observable factor ever could. Even if you never use the farm stand, you can rest easy knowing it’s there. If your neighborhood not only doesn’t have a farm stand but *couldn’t* have one, even in theory, that means you live in a shit hole. It means you can’t even trust the people around you to be minimally civilized and decent. People who live in the city like to brag about the nice restaurants and stores nearby. But the vast majority of neighborhoods in the vast majority of cities couldn’t sustain a farm stand for even a day. It would be looted and wiped out within about 45 minutes. That makes them shit holes. I don’t care how expensive the houses are or how many restaurants you have nearby. You’re surrounded by dishonorable, deceitful thieves. You live in a dump, I’m sorry to tell you. But the uncomfortable (for some people, not me) fact about the farm stand is that it also tells you something else: if you have an unmanned farm stand, your community is probably overwhelmingly white. It could also have an Asian population and sustain a farm stand just fine. But that’s about the extent of the “diversity” you’re likely to find if you’re trying to live in a Farm Stand Eligible location, which you should be. A neighborhood could be wealthy or middle class or lower income and have a farm stand. The farm stand doesn’t tell you much about the average tax bracket of a community. It does tell you something about its demographics. Feel however you want about that fact. But it is a fact.

The power grid right in the heart of Washington, DC just took a direct, sudden hit. An underground equipment blast in Foggy Bottom triggered a massive blackout across the core institutional district. Manholes exploded right outside the World Bank headquarters, sending smoke pouring into the streets and triggering emergency sirens. Power was instantly wiped out across George Washington University, multilateral financial offices, and federal facilities. The State Department had to scramble as facilities suffered unscheduled electrical loss. Traffic lights died from Pennsylvania Avenue to Constitution Avenue, gridlocking major intersections blocks away from the White House. Office towers were abruptly dumped onto whining backup generators or left completely dark, with workers told to evacuate. Pepco and DC Fire crews flooded the scene around 18th Street and H Street as subterranean equipment failures took down key feeders. The fragile backbone of the capital's power grid cannot even keep the lights on for the World Bank and the State Department on a regular Monday morning.

BREAKING: Europe is under a massive cyber attack, with supermarket fridges and freezers in Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands, Finland and Estonia all hacked today by raising temperatures to up to 50°C, destroying huge quantities of food, per Reuters. "Everything is destroyed," a sales manager in Sweden said, adding that "there has been a cyberattack and all our freezers reached 50 degrees." More than 40 supermarkets in Belgium and Luxembourg were affected. "I only have two words for them: wake up, please, because there's something going on," a store manager in Belgium said. This follows a similar cyberattack last month that hit hundreds of supermarkets in France, raising freezers as high as 80°C and causing major food losses. It also comes after freezers at 6 US military bases mysteriously malfunctioned, spoiling large quantities of food, which the Pentagon is investigating as a suspected cyberattack.

the plane crash near Mar-a-Lago is a complete historical and statistical anomaly: > Learjet 60s have existed for 33 years > 3 fatal crashes on record: all on takeoff, approach, or landing > then one fell from 35,000 feet near Mar-a-Lago > 11 prior U.S. Learjet 60 accidents > 6 on landing. 2 on approach. 1 on takeoff. 2 while taxiing. > 0 en route > worldwide: 3 prior fatal Learjet 60 crashes on record: 1. Brazil — 2022, overran the runway. 2. South Carolina — 2008, overran the runway on rejected takeoff. 3. Venezuela — 2013 struck terrain on landing approach. > 0 fatal crashes from high altitude > 0 crashes during cruising phase of flight > oct 23 — NORAD confirms air defenses around Mar-a-Lago > nov 1 — Bahamas-bound Learjet 60 goes into a dive from ~35,000 ft over South Florida > closest tracked point to Mar-a-Lago — 3.9 miles away, still at ~21,000 ft > hits the ground 5.7 miles from the estate > ~27,000 ft gone in 65 seconds > 13,000 of those feet gone in 20 seconds > average over that stretch — 39,000 ft/min > the tracker's vertical-speed readout tops out at 32,640 > closest same-model case I found was in 2023 > Learjet 60 at 41,000 ft near thunderstorms. crew loses pitch and roll control > captain estimates 10,000 ft/min down, recovers at 38,500 ft. everyone lives > the 3 previous fatal Learjet 60 crashes I could find worldwide killed 7 people combined > this one killed 9 > first, most deadly, and only high-altitude Learjet crash in 33 years of service, within 4 miles of brand new short range air defense at Mar-a-Lago bonus fact: > In October 1980, a Learjet 25 pitched up and stalled at 45,000 ft over Missouri. Both engines flamed out. The jet began responding to the pilots again around 32,000 ft. They restarted the engines between 24,000 and 28,000 ft and landed in Wichita x.com/FaytuksNetwork/status/…

The reason there’s debate over that “plane or missile” crash near Mar-a-Lago is simple. For years the government has lied about everything from wars to elections to lab leaks, so people no longer take official stories at face value. Missiles can be made to look like planes. Planes can be made to look like missiles. Audio can be faked. Video can be manipulated. Is there even a point in debating it? If it’s a lie, we’ll never know the truth. That’s the real cost of all the past deceptions. Trust is gone, and once it’s gone, every story gets questioned.
