Hi. I’m Lauren. I’ve been embedded in my state (Idaho) politics for a while. I understand the executive vs legislative dynamic well. In fact I document it for us here.
Idaho has a RINO governor wielding a 50/50 legislature. Half RINOs (like him) half conservative. Truly probably the most conservative legislature in nation (FL might have conservative Gov, but their legislature is dominated by RINOs, when Byron gets in- kiss conservatism goodbye)
Anyway, I come to this point to have a real discussion about Ohio. Legislature is a GOP supermajority (yay), but they’re mostly RINOs (boo). In that environment a GOP governor gets whatever he wants- we’ve watched it happen here.
What that Governor wants is 4M imports (said it on camera). The AMERICAN birthrate is too low for him to accomplish that, you won’t be getting Americans. And with a super majority GOP (RINO) legislature it’s a mandate. It will happen.
However, a Democrat governor - shitty/but no federal authority, thank God - will be turned away at every whim. Lame duck Governor. Will get nothing. No attempted imports or otherwise.
I have never been a person to say Dems over GOP, ever. I’m not a “burn this place down so we can accelerate” person (I’ve seen ACTUAL war, I wish that on no one) but what I am saying is voting for the GOP bc “muah I’m supposed to” in this instance will immediately populate your state with immigrants who vote 80% Democrat. Those are the facts. You’ll get a skinsuit GOP governor now, and every one after will be a true Democrat. You will wreck your voting demographics beyond repair. Let Amy fight the RINOs in your statehouse. It’s the best way to not be inundated.
