Anyone who has ever played in a cfb game (and I have) knows how to avoid taking a cheap shot like that. That was a choice & it could damage Dante Moore’s career. No place for this in the game.

Disappointed in the NBC discussion about the hit on Dante Moore. Don’t blame Moore! There is no excuse for hitting Moore in the head. Every defender knows. Clips are shown in spring & summer & this is example A of what NOT to do! Simple: cheap shot.

Even assuming the NCAA’s 2026-2027 rule textually excluded Class of 2022 athletes (it definitively does not), it is worth noting that courts across the country are increasingly rejecting the NCAA’s argument that Class of 2022 athletes received “the benefit of the bargain” by getting the 4 years promised when they enrolled.
The Classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025 are not “future athletes” — they are current ones who expected 4 years and now get 5. Only the Class of 2022 is excluded.
The NCAA's response to the rules being changed after Aberdeen's eligibility was exhausted essentially boils down to "tough shit dude."

Sen. Cory Booker, with Sen. Chris Murphy, has filed an amendment to the Protect College Sports Act to cap coaching salaries at $5 million a year, per a copy obtained by @YahooSports.
It is one of 35+ amendments filed. Most of them have little chance of being accepted.
