When push came to shove, a lot of people I talked to were open to the cameras as long as reasonable guardrails were in place.
Others insisted they represented a fourth amendment violation, and we discussed whether reading a license plate really amounted to an “unreasonable search.”

Just to explain this: Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) is a Kahanist political party. Rabbi Meir Kahane was so extreme that the Israeli courts convicted him of terrorism and the state banned his party. The entire Knesset boycotted him.
Now, the same ideology plays kingmaker in Israeli politics.

The, “You don’t hate journalists enough!” People when those same journalists say Trump isn’t being based and rightwing enough, “NoooOooOoOo! Blumf has heckin betrayed us! Time to vote for communists who will flood the country!” It’s wild to see. Criticize Trump by all means. But at least be productive with your criticisms.
