Marandi is smart no doubt but brain dead in thinking this is a smart argument:
Growing up as an Iranian-born Muslim, no matter how Western, secular, liberal I was, you're ultimately on Team Iran/Islam and that creates a ton of insecurities. You have to reassure
- women you won't "Not Without My Daughter" Them
- fellow passengers you're not the 20th hijacker
- strangers you don't fatwa them for a minor slight
- seize their embassy and chant "marg bar" whatever to them.
You get the idea. So I find it blistering shocking that these Islamic Republic supporters are running with the Epstein class/regime line of talking point.
Hum, Einsteins, I know Muhammad (pbuh) didn't marry Aysha when she was 6 and times were different, but our entire religion is kinda cool with underage marriage, Iran/Iraq have passed laws permitting that kind of conduct, are we sure you want to push that talking point which could be disabled and counter-attacked by a toddler. They condone the killing of civilians and when you question that, their only reply: "zios, pedos, Einstein."
